can i have a small show of hands how many people out here use like MS Access databases? cos I've been compiling the info off here and like wiki (as accurately as possible), and i was thinking if i could just share it as a db file or if saving as PDF would be better..
the latter is a more commonly used format but then u wouldnt be able to customize your own search queries, if u wanted to.. or i could just make a bunch of them with pre-sorts..

any suggestions

Would a spreadsheet not be enough for this? You could set up a shared one at http://docs.google.com/ and people can add their own changes to it. As long as it's properly set up would be able to sort and filter by columns.

If a database would be better, there is an online collaboration one at http://grubba.net/ but not tried it personally--might be worth a shot, then anyone can access it without having to have MS Access

The red circle repesent the QQs i killed in both of those square rooms, the black circle is where Cookieduster Lipiroon popped. I killed both rooms because a QQ would vanish from the room he popped in. Pretty sure hes a lottery off Goldsmiths only. If you wanna be super sure, just kill the room south of the black circle if a QQ vanishes from the spawn room.

First map. I edited the wiki with what someone reported in NM thread. I-6 above the lamian fang-key doors. I just got done fighting this thing for about an hour but alas, I have work to do and I'll have to finish it before I head to bed soon. So I won't be able to attempt again tonight.

Got it to about 47% before I died and gave up. By died, I mean I was playing 2chars, my 75rdm/nin and 75thf/nin. Used the dot/zone method. There's a convenient zone very closeby to the east. I just grabbed it on Thf and fled to the zone. Be careful not to get too far ahead, or it'll deaggro. You'll get plenty of aggro from other mobs on the way to the zone, so be careful of that as well.

Once you're at the zone there is a conveniently long hall. But maybe not long enough. It'll move once, stop, twice, stop, a third time. By the third time, it'll be entering an area of other mobs, so it'll be harder to grab safely.

Took about an hour of dia->bio->2->2->3->3 ish kind of rotation, sneak attacks, and poisons, to take it down to about 45% with one tick of regen towards the start, I think. I've never been good at this, so another team might be able to take it down faster.

Poison/II resist a lot. Definitely take care. I tried gravity only a couple times, but it resisted every time. Not sure if it's immune. Probably. Same with Bind. Didn't really have time to look of blind/para/slow were landing.

High defense and accuracy. It's evasion didn't seem terribly high. Normal dagger attack speed, so if it takes down your last shadow and you wait until you see the icon vanish before you start casting ni again, it's definitely going to get a chance to hit you. Doesn't double/triple attack. Add.Effectetrify seems like a low rate, maybe somewhere between 1/3 at most, to maybe 1/5 of its attacks. With a full heavy evasion setup, I was reaching maybe 40% evade on it, spitballing +/-. With a brd and a Whm instead of Rdm I could have probably just straight tanked it on thf. No horrible TP moves. Only thing I remember it using was belly dance, and you have plenty of time to turn around, and it freezes itself in place for awhile when it does this.

If you want to try kiting it, there's a room very closeby, north of the zone. Two rocks. There's a VT lamia in that room tho, as well as an Idolator within aggro range right outside the room. Again, I don't remember bind/grav sticking and this has additional effect petry, so be careful if you want to kite. Also gonna need a wrecking crew for that lamia.

Dot/zone method should work fine with 2 people that know what they're doing, I'd say.

I guess a spreadsheet would have worked, but when i started on it, i figured a database would be better because its much easier to filter (especially sort alphabetically, custom searches, etc).. so I don't want to have to go thru the trouble of exporting it..
unless theres a function in access that allows u to do that which im not aware of.

I'm not exactly keen on a wiki-style database. i mean.. yea its cool that everyone gets to add stuff to it, but sometimes there are people who add stuff that don't follow the design structure u have in mind.. makes things messy and might screw up data and stuff.
for that reason i guess I'm gonna do the changes manually, by myself.. since I'm kinda free anyway.

Wiki has other shapes that have yet to be found...

Open Circle

I am starting to think that maybe these are shapes to be added later, because I don't think we've come across etchings that have called for these shapes unless I missed a post somewhere. I went thru the .DAT to get the listing of all the NM's we can hunt and compared them to Wikis list. They are missing 131 NM's on their page...also add the ones on their page that Evoliths have not been found for yet and it is safe to say that there could be a lot more evoliths out there. Here is the list of NM's that haven't been posted on Wiki:



I'll try to edit the wiki page this week to reflect all the NM's if I get a chance.

Also, some of those shapes may yet be in the game currently, At last check Wiki still doesn't have listings for "Weapon Type Weaponskill: ???? +", I know for a fact Dagger is still missing, and quite a few more, Dagger may belong to one of those unfound Shapes.

I still think that the better "Dagger Weaponskill:" Evolith will come from the NM Euryale that drops the Lyft Dagger...at least that is a good place to start aside from seeing what the max size on Tottering Toby.

Yup theres an "Evolith" page, an "Evoliths" page, and the "Hunt Registry" page.

Evoliths is nice, it sorts them by what bonuses they offer, i use that one for already-known Evoliths, and Hunt Registry for NMs i need to camp to figure out what Evolith they give!
