Not sure if this belongs in this thread or the other (it's evolith and synergy related):

Traded nearly all of the equipment in my inventory to the synergy engineer, and the only thing that worked was:

Darksteel Maul - Diamond + 6 wind

Bolded because Utsusemi is wind based ninjitsu, so if it has the potential to give cast time -X% then this could be something very interesting.

This gear is horrible an not worth eveling another damn craft, doing 2 dumb quests, getting 6 ppl together, getting evolith from NMs, etching the damn slots on the armor, then messing with buttons to hope it does not explode and all of this for -1 or -2% in some weak JA.

Not to mention, you cannot etch evolith onto r/ex gear or even onto badass gear like HQ elemental staves or Teaodor ring, or snow/flame ring etc.
So you can etch it on crappy items or the ridiculous new ebon items which are expensive as hell to craft for crap stats. The evolith are even weaker and won't make that armor any better.

Angel skin, Behemoth Leather, Ampihere Leather, ingots, etc to craft these armors.

On a side note, if r/ex cannot be etched evolith, then what are the aern weapons for.

EDIT: Vs elementals: acc +7, yea cause elementals take alot of damage from melee damage SE.... I'm not bitching though, i'm just telling it how it is. Glad I won't be sucked into this time sink synergy. Nothing is a must have.

Well, if you can put it on something like an Errant Houppelande, it's certainly better than a standard one for casting Stoneskin. Granted, not much better, but randomly saving a little MP on Stoneskin for "free" can't hurt.

at best it's looking like situational pieces. Would take an awful lot to take the place of an ebody for example.
