Patch 3.3: Fall of the Lich King - Live

Please do not post the 75,000+ character patch notes. They can be found anywhere, including your own machine when you update the patch. Not to mention, whenever people try to post it, it looks like shit. It's so much cleaner and neater on MMO champ, as well as having direct links to certain areas.

Since the other thread is 13pages long and full of back and fourth, changes and change backs, it doesn't "hurt" to have a new thread with the actual live notes and changes being discussed.

Words can't express how happy I am that they are finally going to change the mechanics on misdirect to reflect tott. It's going to make so many fights considerably easier and more fluid.

Is it me or is the bit in the notes about wintergrasp vehicles/ranks describing exactly the way it was *before* the patch?

Was it ever possible to pilot a siege vehicle without the appropriate rank? What used to happen if a rank 3 built a siege engine, then exited, allowing a rank 1 to hop into the driver's seat?

Question. Is it possible to copy the patch for 3.3 over from another computer.. Mine and my fiance's desktops never were get the download to work on our PCs and dont particullary want to wait for the whole patch to download. My laptop was able to get the patch so will I just be able to copy it over?

Alliance do this on Arthas all the time. They'll log out as rank 3 before WG ends, log in during the next WG, build 12 siege engines for people, then hop out. Alliance will roll WG before any Horde player even has rank 2.

That definitely explains what's been going on then, all the last few weeks Horde have gotten exponentially 'better' at defending WG since they seem to have a wall of catas ready on every defensive battle start.

There is also a bug(maybe not after the patch) that ranks you up to first leiut after getting one kill. What i've seen some people do is log on an alt stationed where we come in to wintergrasp, and kill it so we can just run up to the workshop and get a shit load of vehicles. Though recently the bug..has been bugging, and we're only getting corporal lol.

Pretty sure both sides have been getting it, but only while attacking, as wintergrasp almost always changes hands when there is a battle, on my server.

Well I'll put it this way:

On ptr, the only one I ran was with a group of entirely premade chars. This means full 245+, great weapons, etc.

I tanked and did about 3.5k dps.


The next dps was at 1.3k. In full 245+.


We cleared the whole instance we chose just fine, no wipes or anything.


So, no.
