I would say, pre-order or/and beta sign ups. Release date would be legendary though.

I gotta say, Taki, I do NOT care more about a release date than an opportunity to get into a beta weekend event. lol
Them Charrs gonna be me.
Didn't see this posted anywhere. Thought it was a pretty big deal. Arenanet's answer to server queues.

Great explanation... Also note at super low levels it seemed like this was put into even stricter effect. Notice in the Norn Yogscast videos they mention going when they go to a lower level shrine that they are sidekicked down. Also note that when they do the level 3 personal story and are both level 5+ they are both sidekicked down as well. The sidekick system is relative to the content/event/dungeon and not a flat restriction to "3 levels higher than the event". It does not seem to be "zone" wide, but merely restricted to "areas" of zones or specific events.
You will also note that during a few of the Ascalon dungeon run through videos that the Dev's purposely remove their sidekick status in order for the run to be successful and not wrought with wipe after wipe.
Yup sorry I did not mean zone as in zone, as actual zones are huge, but there is a level "cap" per region I guess, which can have multiple caps in the same zone.
IGN's narrated PVP videos.

Thanks Dragir. It's about time somebody posted that Conquest video! Best one I've ever seen.
I wonder whyyyyyyy lol
Dude has amazing skill, and really shows off the Mesmer's potential.
yes, yes he does!!
I'm honestly not so excited about playing this game after watching those videos. To me it looks like everything is done via a battleground type system and there is no open world pvp but just a big battleground where the WvWvW happens. I hated BG's in wow after playing them 2-3 times and going back to that isn't something I want. That and paradox of upgrades only being aesthetics to maintain balance but give no real incentive to better your character if looks don't matter much to you.
I feel like D3 is what I'll be playing.
WoW has the worst PvP in the history of MMO PvP. I'm not sure I would ever use that as some kind of gauge of what the standard is for instanced combat.
I'm confused how that's different then every other game. DAoC and WAR had tiered zones, every tier had a few battle zones but they were all spread out across the world which essentially made them an instance because of their distance from each other. You had to teleport to get from zone to zone. And those are the quintessential open world PvP MMOs. Hell, the final battle (city raid) was an instance.
All PvP battles are in a box. The box just changes in size depending on the game.
He wants to gank people who aren't looking to PvP, and he can't.
Ultima Online is still running I think.
I wouldn't even regard GW2's WvWvW as a battleground in the typical sense, more of a pvp zone. It's open constantly (just changes opponents every 2 weeks) and to my knowledge you're not given a specific task that gives an insta-win any time before the 2 weeks are up.
Sounds like a pretty great compromise between the two types, and world pvp would really go against their whole mentality of working together with others in a stress-free environment for the PvE world.
