that's when your credentials (created by the check tool) have expired. have to redo that. also, read the NDA parts guys. you're not even allowed to tell that you got into the beta lol.
edit: seems to be working now. got through in one try.
I would read it if i could get to it!
Shit they need to do a scan -_-; NOT AT HOME FFFFFFFFF
And I never installed logmein on my new machine
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Signed in, knowing life I won't get in D;
I got in and my info is sent off! Page loaded in German, that was quite a fun challenge.
Signed up with 2 different email addresses, is that cheating? lol
For the people freaking out:
You have 48 hrs to sign up. Signing up immediately doesn't increase your chances. Testers are chosen based on development needs.~RB
The German was probably a joke from Martin.
Anyways, I'm signed up at least.
Thanks for signing up!
Thanks for signing up for a chance to participate in the Guild Wars 2 beta test. We've received your application and we'll email you if you've been accepted. We appreciate your interest in Guild Wars 2!
Sincerely,
The Guild Wars 2 Team
good luck guys ^^
What's the usual beta cycle to release? 3-4 months?
Keep in mind:
· The sign-up window is 48 hours (or whatever amount of time their servers are reachable within that 48 hours)
· Being first/signing up early doesn't guarantee access; this isn't a contest
· The confirmation email means your information was submitted successfully, not that you were invited to the beta
Still not sure when exactly this particular beta event will be...
Applied, not expecting to get considering 'beta needs' though, I have a distinctly average laptop to play on that I'm sure a million others have, too.
Stoked though, hope it doesn't take too long to find out.
You skipped 3/4 of my comments.
Like I said, level cap is only one of many things that has to be balanced, but that doesnt make the content more attractive.
It's going to facilitate making group, but you have to be incredibly optimist to believe that they will get the reward, and difficulty balances right. I'm sure it will be fun to plow through the game once, but people expecting any long term enjoyment are probably going to be let down.
ok I did not skip anything lol, you do realize that you really only have to group in dungeons right? and that every single overworld event is open to anyone in the area? Everyone that takes part gets rewarded, either gold silver or bronze ranking, with karma and exp. Sorry If I am not understanding what you mean by reward and difficulty balances? please explain. Every event scales dynamically depending on participation also in real time. There is no plowing through. things change constantly in every area. so even though you might out level it, when you come back it may not be the exact same experience next time.
The long term enjoyment can come from the fact that the game is just fun to play. This my biggest concern is that we all have the mentality that once you go through something there is no need to come back to it unless is grinding for end game gear. This game changes this.
Long term enjoyment from? From one of the articles I read there are zone achievements for doing certain things so I can see people wanting to get those as much as possible.
Also you unlock utility skills with skill points, there are events that give extra skill points as rewards. In order to unlock every single point you will have to make the extra effort as you will not be able to by just leveling up to 80.
Sorry if I am missing something about the whole balance and drops thing. I really do not understand the issue Kaylia is trying to convey.
In a game like FF14 I can totally understand these issue being a big deal but GW2 is doing things so different in terms of rewards, drops, gruoping, I am just having a hard time understanding it. Help me out here![]()
So with Beta sign ups now up can we estimate a time line and possibly a release date? Insanely stoked for this game!
Edit: Fuck you BlueXephos, stop uploading beta videos so hard to resist lol
