The email confirmation really seems to depend where you are or what email service you use. I got my 7 email confirmations literally instantly.

I used hotmail for both, one was instant one took over 8 hours. I don't think that is what's causing it.

Are you using Gmail? apparently there is a problem with gmail for some weird reason you have to type in *****@GOOGLEmail.com for you email address. Had to do mine a second time, but then the confirmation email came instantly.

Another question:

At start, when we create our char, we must pick some options as "backstory", like being blessed by XXX god, etc. Does it affect our powers ?

No, just your personal story.

Not entirely true, it also effects your diplomacy (or whatever its called in this game I forget). Different chat options pop up at points in the story for different stats, and your proficiency in each is based on the questions you answer in creation.

yar, used gmail. there's a resend page now: https://beta.guildwars2.com/resend. they suggested to use @googlemail.com on twitter, but that email was of course not in their system. i simply entered @gmail.com again and got the confirmation instantly.

Got it from gmail at 3:49 AM when I signed up around 8PM. My hotmail account was almost instant though.

Are you guys doing multiple applications for the same computer? I'm wondering whether or not it's worth doing being as I can't imagine it's too hard for them to relate the seperate email applications based on the details sent from the PC, or is it?

Of course, the alternative is that you all have multiple computers where you live which is fairly likely, sadly I do not

I only did it twice because my first one never got the confirmation. No idea if it will increase chances, but doubt it. Surprised they didn't put anything about it in the FAQ.

I did it twice because I forgot to turn on X-Fire the first time. So it showed I had 786mb vid card the first time and then about 1800mb the 2nd time. (Have to turn off x-fire when I watch shows on my tv D; )

did it from my home comp... wondering if i should also do it from my laptop while im at school (so different IP) and using my school email now. but then i hear double app's get you disqualified

Double apps better not get you disqualified. My gf and I both applied from the same ip.

I hope double apps don´t get desqualified i used 2 emails because i never got the confirmation email on 1, it was before the notice that there was delay on emails sure alot of ppl might have done that
