Usually they dont ever send any kind of email saying you weren't selected for a beta test. they just closed (or are close to) the sign ups anyways? I wouldn't start getting freaked out about an email coming already.

Are we going to have our own BG community guild in a specific server? I know this didn't happen for Rift and i was bummed out, since having contact with people both in game and out is a valuable resource, and with WvW i feel that being in a guild early is a major plus.

I really love the fact that their intention is coming to fruition when they said they wanted people to organically play together rather than feeling limited by other players. It's like getting ffxi's community without the bitterness that comes with the codependence.

Maybe people can/will finally shut up about the "community" all the time now that there's another game that is a team-centric game. Only this one doesn't relentlessly restrict the concept and punish you if you don't abide by it.

A similar thing happened in Rift where groups of people would roam throughout the map during dynamic events from rift to rift, except that in GW2's case, since most quests are dynamic events, then it would stand to reason that people would constantly roam in herds throughout the game .

I'll be posting my guild info when I finish my site and get the domain up and running. I'm at 80ish percent completion and technically I could just get a domain and put it up now. BG forum members will get a free in as always. With that in mind, I"ll extend the offer again to anyone else who might want to lend a hand with some php and sql work.

It looked pretty staged honestly. That didn't strike me as genuine enthusiasm for most of them.

I'm sure there will be multiple guilds. Remember that guilds are hotswappable and in early builds seen they were even called "linkshells" in some screens. Definitely should have a BG guild thats focused on WvW though. Although I would be interested to see what size limits are for guilds. If its too high, you will most definitely see 1 or 2 WvW centric "server wide" guilds be created, in the same vein has some of the "legion alliances" happened in Aion. Because in the end... its all about numbers.

Im glad to hear about the Commander stuff. Although I am wary and would hope that the cost is relatively high so every tom dick and harry cant buy the commander rank.

I played Eden Eternal with some BGers and it was a scream, would be awesome to be able to mingle with you guys in GW2 as well. The game is international right? lol
