I think i played a good solid 15hours so far and i have to say i'm enjoying it, the pvp is a little off with there being no real balance of teams & 2v2 games are not fun. the whole unlocking weapons is a nice idea, until you dont have weapons like staves unlocked until level 15 in my case and some of the events are a bit too difficult with the ammount of spawns.

Well, also remember that you're scaled down to whatever area you're in. So if you want to skill up some new weapons you could always go back to a lower zone and still get exp and everything.

Where the fuck is a Dye Manufacturer? I know I've fucking seen one around before and nobody is answering me when I ask. I honestly think my entire chat is borked because nobody has responded to anything I've said in-game yet.

Nope, they're in the Home Instance -- but it takes 24 hours. Not "tomorrow", but actually 24 hours from turning in. Not that I've actually collected one, so maybe they don't actually work.

Random question: Is there any sort of benchmark for GW2 yet? In comparison to FF14 by chance? I'm just trying to get an idea of how my PC might run the game.

Sooo, I had my dye seeds sprout on two characters. They don't share the color, and none of my other characters have it. It's a single, random color.

Also, thief is SO GODDAMN MUCH FUN. Oh my GOODNESS. I was really not expecting it to be that much FUN. Bouncing around all over, so many options with a handful of weapons, a targeted teleport with shortbow, and both spear and harpoon gun had spiffy skills. I was totally rocking with the healing Signet, the one that absorbs HP with attacks; Scorpion Wire and speed+10% signet rounded me out, sooo good. Thief has really moved up my list.

Pretty sure it's just bugged. There is another one like that in the Charr areas.

Yeah, certain that's a bug. The only thing I haven't done in Queensdale. Done everything else in the area.

Random question: Is there any sort of benchmark for GW2 yet? In comparison to FF14 by chance? I'm just trying to get an idea of how my PC might run the game.

You can start the game with the -perf flag to have performance stats on-screen, most of which are overly technical, but FPS is there on the bottom. I think there's a fair bit of performance tuning due though, so it's hard to say for sure. My system is an i7 [email protected] + Radeon HD6870 and I was seeing mid 20s to low 50s fps at 1920x1200 with everything maxed. Not sure how similar that would be to your system. There might be a thread somewhere with more configurations listed. I don't think there's an actual benchmarking tool though.

Right now the game is CPU bound, so your graphics card isn't being utilized to its full potential yet. AN also said that overclocking your CPU may actually reduce performance.
