Thanks for the article Tonka, it was fun to read it.
Tons of avatar customization would be awesome.
I'm pretty sure there will be.
I'm pretty sure we will be getting a release date soon.

We were very pleased with how our servers performed during our second Beta Weekend Event, but we want to gather additional data on how they operate under load before the next one.
That’s where you come in.
All players who have pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 are invited to participate in our upcoming stress test. This four-hour test event will run on Wednesday, June 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT (GMT-7).
We won’t wipe characters for this event, so if you played in our previous betas, you can pick up right where you left off. All we need you to do is log in and have fun—leave the stress to us!
QQ at the time and date. Won't make it this time
It's barely long enough to log in and remember what to do. If I manage to get some time in, I'm just gonna go to the PvP lobby and dick around with 80 builds.
I'll be there, and I'll do some PVP on some new classes.
I'm at work for the entire duration of the stress test. Oh well.
What kind of LFG system does GW2 have or will have at launch?
It didn't have one during beta and there's no word on if we're getting one at launch. I feel like its not particularly mandatory for gw2 as you never need specific classes for a dungeon. You just need people at, or above, the minimum level for a dungeon. A LFG channel would suffice in my mind.
LFG system, hah, next you'll want a dungeon finder and raid finder....
what a shitty time for a stress test. Middle of the day during the middle of the week. It's as if they picked the worst possible day/hour to stress test the server
You can flag yourself as LFG in the social menu, and it adds you to a searchable LFG list. It also puts LFG by your name. I'm not sure if the searchable list is server wide or just zone wide. I don't think many people noticed it in the beta. It doesn't auto-group you either.
Dungeon or raid finder being one thing (as they do have their negatives) I have no idea how can you frown upon LFG tools.
I seriously doubt that GW2 would have the bottleneck problem that other games have anyway, considering that the game is far more lenient as to what constitutes a tank and a healer. I don't think, for example, the dungeon-finder, if there ever is one, would mandate the need for a Warrior (specced a certain way with certain mandatory talents, if you want to take it a step farther) for tanking or a Guardian for healing.
Honestly, from what I've been able to tell, you could even have an earth/water-traited elementalist with vit/toughness gear tank, or a mesmer using illusions properly, nevermind classes with more classical close-combat leanings. I heard a lot of noise about ranger tanking really well. Every class seems to have some options for absorbing more damage (either avoiding, taking less, or having more hp) at the cost of damage or support (you can usually focus on two depending on the profession's leanings).
With in combat weapon swaps a whole group can perform varies roles anyway. Looking for one specific healer to heal the group is no doubt less useful when every class has varies group heals/absorbs to throw on a party member getting beat on. Bring people that are comfortable with changing roles on the fly imo.
