I absolutely love engineer, but I've been so unimpressed by most of the utility skills -- if it replaces my entire main weapon line, it better impress me. None of them really did. To be fair, I didn't play with bomb kit, as I've seen enough people use it to know it's good. I used flamethrower, elixir gun, grenades (which I love in THEORY), and mine kit and they were all absurdly weak. And, of course, the turrets might as well not be there as they are now. So I'm really hyped to see the changes next BWE; gonna abandon my other characters and focus entirely on an engineer.

Bomb kit is pretty good, but I agree that 'nades, flamethrower, elixer gun and mine kit needed a lot of work. Mine kit especially, as it was absolutely useless for PVP with the extremely slow detonations for mines. I was especially dissapointed with how lackluster the tool kit worked, especially the wrench to repair turrents. I I want to spend my time at the top of a keep, keeping the turrents up and running while others fight, I shouldn't have to whack a turrent 200 times to top it off, especially when the swing itself is slow. I'd like to see the wrench healing pushed up to at least 10% of a turrent's total health, especially as the turrents don't exactly hit for ballpark numbers.

I'm still going to main engineer, as the class just appeals to me, but damn, it needs some work, numbers-wise.

Everything that I have heard in game so far is pretty amazing. Between the soundtrack and the npc banter you hear pretty constantly I feel like i'm in Cyrodil/Skyrim pretty often.

Excellent news! Seems we can play the Asura and Sylvari up to level 20. I'm going to try the Soylent Green People, not sure what class to match. I think I might try thief or ranger.

I'm staying away from Sylvari/Asura as I want to have a fresh, new place to explore when the game comes out. But it's awesome that they finally allowed us to play 'em.

Gonna be out of town for BWE3, but it sounds like I'll be downloading gw2 on my laptop to at least make my sylvari guardian and asura thief so I know what I want them to look like.

I don't get where the lvl20 cap is coming from. I know the mmorpg post says that but anet blog says nothing about not being able to level a Asura/Sylvari past 20 seems like something they would mention.

The level 20 cap is the cap on the personal story line/mission content, there was never a cap on how high you can level in beta. people made it to 60+ playing WvW. The highest level area in PVE that was accessible was 25-35 I believe, Gendarran fields

Makes sense. Just seems odd to even call that out when it's exactly the same as all the other races. The real dilemma is whether or not to spoil the new areas for myself or avoid them like the plague. I think my curiosity will get the better of me.

I'm not really gonna spoil more things for myself, gonna just keep playing my highest character(necromancer) and WvWvW alot.

Since we cannot really get that far anyways, and release is just a month after beta weekend, Im gonna try both, really not much spoilers to be had honestly. I really want to get a good feel on all 5 races to know which would be most fun playing at the start. Although I'm just saying that, my wife is already set on asura, so I don't have a choice really. lol
