This game is a ton of fun. It looks like itll have a nice balance of "i dont have to play for hours to get stuff done" and "wtf i just started playing how is it midnight already"

I like the game and I feel it's solid but I'm not over the moon about it. The character movement and monster movement feels clunky at times and I'm not sure how I feel about the combat. I haven't had a chance to try any WvW yet because I have to queue up and after a few hours, I never get in and I log off. I've only logged maybe 3-4 hours total this BWE as the game didn't suck me in. I was hoping it would as it's free to play and it's a MMO but I don't think I'll be buying this one. It's certainly a solid game, great in some aspects, but I didn't find it grabbing me and making me want to get lost in it. It could very well be that I'm just over the MMO genre.

Currently there's a ANet employee trying to calm all the people down in HotM atm because the login servers cant connect us to games.

happened to me lol. Did some WvWvW yesterday and got lost in time... it was like 4 hours later before I even knew it.

Keg brawl is a blast also

There were people who created a character and went straight into WvWvW on friday and lived/leveled in there, so not surprising that the 15-25 area was barren. Coupled with the fact that people also will want to create multiple characters to try out/etc that area was pretty empty even the last BWE when I moved my Necro there. At release where we aren't restricted to playing only on the weekend it shouldn't be a problem.

played nothing but WvWvW the entire weekend, lvl 17 atm. yesterday was a bit ugly because there was a nasty lag bug making some maps unplayable (10sec+ input lags). friday was and today it's all good. can't wait until release when people have some money and finally upgrade sieges, have multiple golems etc.

I have no fears of there not being enough variety (skins wise) to pick from once the whole game is open.

Edit: Anyone know a really quick way to make 4 gold? I kinda want to buy the T1 asura set.

I spent $20 for 1600 gems, traded it all in for gold. Last nights market got me over 4 gold.

Had no idea there were zone specific armor sets. Thats awesome. Wonder if there are class specific armor sets. I really hope there are..

In other news, holy shit; sword on ranger is insane. This is way more awesome than I thought it would be.

Sword/dagger gives you 3 dodge oriented moves. I fucking hate Ranger but I will admit that is pretty amazing.

Disappointed this beta in terms of wvw access but hopefully anet can fix all that before release. If the game didn't have that I don't think I would play the game. Outside of that, I've spent all my time in spvp and tournament play and made numerous sets of gear using the pvp mystic forge.

I haven't done any pvp at all or anything so I can only judge from a PvE standpoint. Its pretty awesome though. Some guy called my a hacker I was rolling around so much lol.

WvW in this beta has been pretty much pointless. I'm glad i got to experience it the first 2 weekends because this one has been a disaster.

so because all WvWvW maps are full, I jumped to the starter area of the sylvari, disabled the GUI and just moved all the way up to the 25+ zone. the environment art design is soooooooooooo awesome. I have the hardcover artbook but these guys deserve a freaking medal. so many details, so much diversity. one more month, one more...

edit: I had no problems playing WvWvW all weekend long except now. granted, I play on a german server (elona's reach) but it was the first EU server to reach high pop on friday.

I mostly only wanted to do WvWvW this weekend but it's really been impossible. At least they have time to address this issue before launch. God forbid this happened at launch lol, they'd get reamed.

I feel like its only because nobody wants to "waste" time doing pve stuff this beta. I guess its a good thing that its happening that way they can figure out how to address it if ever happens again. I was in it last night though, nobody having money pretty much sucks. I got spoiled by all the money that was around in BWE2 so we could upgrade keeps and get weapons out pretty easily; not so much now

Damn this game is fun. It's a nice break and change of scenery from XI and TERA. I like everything about it except there is not enough good looking faces for female humans.
