My rant was about the fact that we have only received silence about when linking accounts will be available. Given that they have actually pushed HoM/GW1 on GW2 players since BWE2, this is especially heinous.

There was a post a while back or in the question thread about this and one of the community team guys said that you just can't yet. That step in account creation will probably activate later or it was for something else.

Headstart for all versions is 3 days pretty sure.

It was in the question thread I think... the answer probably came from me because I did get a CS response from them and posted it here. Its still extremely frustrating that we haven't been able to get a straight answer to those type of questions and we are 16 days til launch. They really need to release a few bits of information and do it soon. 1) Account Linking 2) Official Launch Servers and 3) Account Security Precautions.

The 1st will come, because they can't afford to piss off a lot of their GW1 clientele. The 2nd should come this week after tomorrow's stress test gives them some more final WvW capacity numbers. The third just really needs to be said soon. We know there is not going to be an official Mobile App at launch, does that include any authenticator app or are we going to be relegated to a coin lock type system? An account PIN system that Aion went to? With a Buy 2 Play game there really needs to be a great deal of account security. There are a lot of horror stories with hacked accounts and GW1 back in the day, we do not need more of that with GW2.

It's not too late to go out and purchase the game though. That 1day headstart may as well be 3 days, since you should be able to head into Gamestop and pay for your copy and get the 3day code, or even just cancel your Gamestop get your 5$ back and buy it directly from Anet. I believe Greenmangaming.com still has a prepurchase deal (I could be wrong). A good deal of my "late to the party" friends picked it up after trying the game out from one of the millions of beta keys that were flying around the net for BWE3.

Just to confirm, you can still pre-purchase from Gamestop and get the three day code (you kind of have to insist and ask when you put the full money down). Its a code they have to search for 501313 or 501287.

Either way, try to get it at arenanet, i was obligated to purchase mine thru GS because of issues i had checking out with AN

Looks like they be stressin. Unable to stay in character creation or log into the world for more then a few seconds. XD

Was hoping to save my launch character creation settings, before my meeting, but that may not happen. Oh well.

While doing some work, I've been letting the login music cycle. Does anyone know the soundtracks it pulls from, specifically the second and third ones, or is it a unique piece of music?

I've been able to get in (briefly) without having prepurchased or preordered. Just got a beta key through a website. I'm kind of surprised since that facebook post said only if you prepurchased.
