Bioware is gonna do this right at launch, and only right at launch, for this reason alone. Hopefully Arenanet considers doing it too because its not a bad idea at all to prevent uber congestion in the noob zones. Actually I have no idea how the game starts for different races, if they all have different starting zones then it might not be needed, but i don't know that much.
Its the same in the sense of the end goal in mind of building up defenses and gathering resources to do that. Obviously that part of campaign didn't work at all and i was the only one who did that stuff but it was there, and i thought it was cool and i think this is cool too.
Especially with each race getting its own starting area and the mentioned scaling DEs and the shear amount (presumably large) of DEs available even to the low levels. . . . really don't see congestion being a problem.

So... sylvari in those screens are naked and armor goes right over it?
Also just in case anyone was concerned, the armors being shown on them are what would be the equivalent of RSE style armors. There will be "regular" armor that can be worn that are shared among races.

I wasn't big into GW1 PvP and probably wont be big into GW2 5v5 hotjoin PvP but this WvWvW has really caught my eye. I cant wait to see PvP showcased and I know that's something they said they would be revealing more at one of the upcoming gaming events I just hope we get some videos released of maybe some WvWvW action since there more than likely (not sure how it would be possible) wont be any hands on at gamescom/pax for the WvWvW.
looks like the pvp map has unexplored parts too for that area, you can see icons for different things there. Can't wait to learn more about it.
At gamescom they will show 5vs5.
Better than nothing though.
And yea, WvWvW will have dynamic events etc integrated in the map. So there are things to do with even a small group (like defend a mine or so) that will help your server out.
