lol idk if FFXIV can hold the crown for best looking (graphically) MMO anymore... Those screenshots look stunning.
Sucks about that beta. Gonna have to follow this thread for when the sign up starts. Need BG crew all up in that shit.

Characters in FFXIV look more realistic. Maybe better. But overall, I prefer the style of GW2. Also, it's not super bland and boring like FFXIV.
You can have your copy-pasta prison-sex game's graphics, leave my graphic designer's wet dream alone.
wat
Seems interesting. I kind of like the idea of having to figure out what ingredients craft what. Will add a bit of depth to crafting and the people that put the most work into will get the most out of it.
Was away a couple of days, came back, watched the videos, wanna fap to them nowGimme this nau!
Well, at least crafting isn't entirely the same, so thats a good thing. I'm a little put off at how long its gonna take to learn everything though, even though I know that theres gonna be databases of known crafts up pretty quickly. Can't wait to see what kind of hidden crafts remain hidden for a long time with this.
Yeah but you're still taking the time to look up the recipes and everything. Which is a lot more than today's standard craft system in most theme park mmos where everything is pretty much handed to you as soon as you log in.
Crafting looks boring, only thing I don't like about the game. Wish it was just like GW1.
'Craft All'....Come back 20min later lvl 30/100... reminds me of Aion in that regard oh well better than the time sink that is XIV crafting. Was it just me or did anyone else want to take over for the guy in the video cause it was maddening watching him try the same combinations 7 times in a row.
Couple good things about the crafting system is the that you get crafting experience for everything you make. Rather than using up a bunch of mats and hoping you get a skill-up. ><
Also, the being able to switch professions and it remembering what level you were and such. Yes, it costs money to do it but it sure costs less than re-leveling up a profession from scratch!
Yea I know what it was like in GW1 and I preferred that. This is about the only area in the game with a complete lack of innovation. They always go on about the iterative development process, I don't understand how they can just leave crafting like this. I hate classical MMO crafting, with the grind to top and the competitiveness and playing the market etc. Not very Guildwars.
Hopefully before launch they will make it more fun. Right now it's completely Aion-style, including the workbenches.
And we will all just wiki the recipes anyway.
Better recording of the dragon fight.
