    You do know there are people that want real crafting right? GW1 was not crafting, just like it was not a real mmorpg, and no its not very guild wars "1", just like many things in the "new" game.

    Yea I understand. Like I'm saying, I think they should do their own thing (per usual) like they're doing with other areas of the game. Not just copy crafting from another game so they can say "we too".

    And don't get me wrong, I'm sold on the game and I'm a big Arenanet fan. I'd just would've like to see them bring something new and fun to each aspect of the game. It's a shame that's all, not a deal breaker.

    But we'll see how it plays out when we get our hands on it.

    I read/watched an interview where they said this type of crafting worked best for what they are doing, and that they did try other forms etc. Honestly crafting is crafting, there is only so much u can do. Fun crafting? how? its either u like crafting or u dont

    after seeing it more i really hope they make the turret/cannon shots larger and more noticeable. the shots they have now almost look like placeholder animations, so i'm hoping they are.

    One of my most memorable moments in recent games was when I figured out SE's recipe for chamomile tea in xiv when they added it, by googling how it was made IRL and finding ingredients in-game and trying to find the combination. It was finally a 'fuck you' to some of the insanely cryptic and lack of info to get things done. Of course the recipe was found out by others as well so nothing came of it, but it was so satisfying to say 'gotcha, bitch' lol.

    Crafting: Simple, clean, quick. That is all. Nothing intriguing nothing "interesting". Just pick what you want to make or want to use, let me pick how many, and call it a day.

    Oooooooh and the video is 13:37 minutes long - just sayin'. Also, in regards to crafting, I like WoW's crafting system versus anything with FF in it just because we don't need the cryptic tedium that they can supply. What I would like to see, though, is a game where 'rare' items drop that are designed for crafting a la big boss kills or real 'open world' drops. Crafting shouldn't be the focal point of the game and it should never be backbreaking but adding a little flavor to it like having the ability to dye gear or the option to enchant on craft like RIFT makes it much more interesting in my opinion.

    I've always been a fan of bosses dropping items that you can either craft into what you want, or them dropping something you can add to a craft to make something else, change it's stats/looks or what not.

    I know release date info is all but speculation, but for ppl who have been following the game closely is it looking towards an early 2012 release (around march) or late fall release?
