Hey, what GW:Beyond offers you is worth tenfold what Asura Week will tell you. "Not good enough" he says!
I can't fault you though, I'm looking forward to Asura week too.
If you would have promised that you were going to make it happen I'd be all impressed right now.

Add "Cadwallen Anueryn" to your Friend List (F) and send me a tel..
er, whisper when you catch me online.

We can either rush you to 20/max armor/all heroes...
or progress naturally through the story...
which will also result in max armor and all heroes...
but more slowly and more, imo, satisfactorily. lol

    Asura week schedule:

Monday, 9/12 – An asura character design blog post by concept artist Matthew Barrett, the key artist responsible for the look of the asura.

Monday, 9/12 – BONUS! We’re throwing in an extra asura short story by loremaster Jeff Grubb!

Tuesday, 9/13 – An asura environmental design blog post by Matthew Barrett that takes a closer look at asura architecture and props.

Tuesday, 9/13 – Hey, Bookah! This advice column provides smart asura answers to stupid questions.

Wednesday, 9/14 – Writing the asura blog post by Writer Angel McCoy, with audio examples of asura chatter.

Thursday, 9/15 - Asura animation blog post by Lead Animator Heron Prior, with video examples of unique asura animations.

Thursday, 9/15 – We’re updating the GuildWars2.com asura web page with new lore by Jeff Grubb, new screenshots and wallpapers, and a brand new asura feature video.

Friday, 9/16 – A narrative asura blog post by Ree Soesbee that explores the world of the asura through fiction.
I think a lot of people will change their race preference to Asura after Asura week.

    Lol!

And I agree. A lot of people came around to Asura from the recent conventions and seeing them in action so this week will probably nab a few more. I know I will likely main as one and before they were low on my list.

They are great, and their attitudes are very cocky smart asses. After playing one my wife was like omg we have to main asuras they are so cute. So I think Im stuck with asura lol. Also Golem racial abilities sound awesome too. The animations are pretty awesome, Little things like taru flips while dodging and lifting the large weapons (hammer/greatsword) onto ur shoulder when running, looks so great.

So i been listening to a few podcast about guild wars 2 and have a few questions see if anyone knows or if they been aswered.

If ppl push the fight until the big dragoons we been seeing shatter (sp) and the water one, what happens to dynamic event does it go 1 step back and ppl just do that again making it pop right after like 1hr lets say, or it goes alot back and takes a considerable effort to make it pop again?

Another one i remenber if ppl push the dynamics event to the max end like everything defend does anything happen like mosters start getting continous stronger to stop players or that can be hold "forever"?

The videos and the link below detail just about all of the information about events that ArenaNet has made pubic.

To answer your questions myself, I'm not sure I've heard anything about how many steps it takes to return to a particular stage of a "dynamic event" if it fails... all I can say is that I'd prefer the latter.

Nope, monsters won't "rage" like FFXI simply by being alive too long. The events are said to "scale" by how many players are in the area as long as those players are actively participating in the fight. There's a page at the Guild Wars 2 wiki related to this question...

As a final note, if you like podcasts, I highly recommend listening to Relics of Orr. Though they've stopped recording new episodes, the episodes they've done are informative and probably some of the most entertaining podcasts I've ever heard. lol

Thanks for the aswer and podcast, but yes i know about "scaling" the event by number of ppls i meant more would be pretty boring if you could hold @ max "defense" of all events and nothing making it lets say "harder" to keep hold, unless ppl get bored and stop doing that event.

I mean this more for when the game launch, everyone will be doing all events so basicaly everythign will be @ max end of the events, thou we not "seeing" much of game, idk if getting what i mean.

Well, you actually have to finish the event to get the exp and rewards. So I don't see a lot of people willingly stalling events as there will be no reason to. And I don't think rewards are based on the amount of time an event runs. As far as I know, it's all based off the amount of people that are participating. So the more people participating, the more rewards and exp you'll get, and thus the higher the difficulty will be. As far as an event chain going to the end, well I'd have to assume if it's at the end where you defeat a boss, it probably starts back at square one.

But if it's on the other side of the event chain where nobody has done the events and mobs had just been able to run around freely with nobody trying to stop them, well there could be a negative impact, like towns and areas that they had taken over will actually stay taken over until somebody goes and clears those events. So I can't really see anybody stalling events unless maybe they're waiting for more people to arrive. But if you wait too long, it could be too late and the event could go in the wrong direction by then.

I didn´t mean stalling a event let me try give a example might be better, in a interview they talk about a chain of events about you invading a place wiht pirates or was it bandits then get event to destroy 1 tower then another event for next tower, later on ship goes in and barrage and so on.
Now lets say chain end @ pirates going away, that the end of that chain of events, so it will try go back on the chain of events by making pirates try recover there base, i meant hold there because so many ppl online all over the places that everyone keep killing pirates before they even have a "chance" to recover there base thou only thing ppl keep seeing is just pirates trying to recover nothing else, thats what worry me, of course this me assuming thats how it goes.

I understand what you are saying and I do not think we will know how it totally works yet, until beta. The thing is I think the events will chain off into other areas to allow the pirates to rebuild. It won't just ever stay as take out the prirate town constantly, It may swap to protect one of our towns or help rebuild one of our fortresses, there are so many different events going on in an area at a time that people will move on as there will be no "event" going on at the pirate base to get any rewards from

For example I arrived at a friendly camp and it was taken over already by undead. an event activated to take it back, I did that event solo with npcs and the camp was taken back over, the event ended and I got rewarded. (small events can be done solo) there was no longer any undead attacking to hold off but an event did trigger further out, leading me to attack the undead at the lake, or try to help build forts up elsewhere. Also the way is made is that we want to keep friendly camps safe as specific NPCs would be there to sell trade etc.

Unlike other games where people just stay in an area and kill for xp, we are rewarded for moving to other areas and taking part in other events. the events spread out and chain, so we might go do something else in another town for now while the enemy fortress starts rebuilding, since there are other events going on elsewhere people should migrate to the following event. The pirate will not just keep spawning to try and take the town back.

Also the areas are freaking huge, I honestly do not see issues with over crowding.

Another thing is there is incentive to do events that are untouched for a long while is that event mobs that have been spawned for a long time give bonus xp over mobs that are being killed constantly over and over.

The game pushes us to move around and explore, finding hidden areas and hidden events, not just set up camp and pull mobs.
