Fuck.
Edit: nevermind =/
Curious, there's no "Demo Timer" on the screen, and the player is in a group with 3 others. Hmmm.

Because it's an old one? It was one of the showcasing video if I remember correctly.
The first 3 seconds I knew I saw that one somewhere else.
Eh, knew there was a chance it was old. I'd never seen it before though, and that lack of a demo timer + date it was posted (past 24 hours) just got me. lol.
It's not one of the oldest ones, though. Underwater combat wasn't highlighted until the second year of conventions.![]()
Yup I believe that was from the Fanday event at arenanet. around the time they revealed underwater combat etc. I posted it before. Its one of the cleanest videos around too.
great read for anyone interested in how the non-holy trinity in GW2 works

Great insight into GW2 endgame

Oh god yes.The game has also been built with an anti-grind philosophy in mind from the very beginning.
Stupid image fail.
lol yea I know, the grind in GW2 might be more varied, fun, dressed up to make it less of how he called it? threadmill? But its still in fact a grind, which in truth cannot be removed.
We are still going to repeat dungeons and events, over and over, the difference is we are rewarded every time, which is very cool.
Even so the article does get the message across.
But.. . if this Wiki meaning is used
"Grinding is a term used in video gaming to describe the process of engaging in repetitive and/or boring tasks not pertaining to the story line of the game"
I would actually have to agree a bit that GW2 is anti-grind, it doesn't mean they got rid of it, but the structure of the game system does indeed point toward that mindset.
Well yeah, it depends on your definition, because by standard, every MMO is a grind of some sorts, no matter what.
Im going to get hurt for this but. . GW2 is shaping up to be pretty far from Standard no?
Warhammer said they'd get rid of all PvE grind entirely... They actually had more PvE grind then any NA MMO I can think of. But then, everything they originally said was going to be in their game wasn't so yeah.
What ArenaNet says so far seems to make sense, so I'm hopeful.
A lot of what arenanet has said is going into GW2, looks like has made it in. It seems like all of their ideas has become a reality. At this point, there are only 3 things that I can think of that can bring the game down:
1: Lack of diverse dynamic events (they stop being interesting if they all boil down to "kill shit until it goes away")
2: Class structure creeping back into holy trinity state.
3: Technical issues / lack of bug fixes
Everything looks and sounds just amazing though, so yeah hears hoping everything goes as planned.
You forgot:
4: Client/server stability and optimization. With their emphasis on huge dynamic content and WvWvW 500v500 battles they aren't going to mean a thing if the game doesn't run as smooth as possible. Obviously when you're getting into numbers that high things aren't ever going to be great, but it should at the very least be playable.
