The ole SilentDawn crew, eh Dragir?! We'll definitely have to guild up on there since you were a pro RDM back in the day! And I was trying to get some names so if I run by some people from here, I can help out.

I do! I just don't want my feelings to get hurt. I need an announcement of some alpha/beta/charlie schedule.Sometimes it feels like...
Me: So what are you doing for Valentine's Day? Want to go to a snazzy restaurant by the pier?
Guild Wars 2: I'm not ready.
Me: I was hoping to see you in your Collector's Edition attire. When will you be ready?
Guild Wars 2: When it's done.
*Closes door*
Me: But...
*Falls down and starts crying* *It starts to rain and a violin can be heard playing from a distance*
Me: *Whimpers* I need you Guild Wars 2... I need... you...
So how about those beta keys? You haz? Can I haz? Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
Guildwars 2 is a myth.
Won't hurt to check this out in about 24 hours though: http://global.ncsoft.com/global/ir/quarterly.aspx
Sorry just have too...
lol SilentDawn :D you guys were entertaining sometimes lol. I liked a lot of your members but some of them were silly.
Anyone remember Pheo?
LOL. But seriously, they do need to come clean with a release date soon. While TERA is more fun than SWTOR when I saw people battling over mob claims, I was like, "can't wait for GW2". They certainly can't keep replying with that "when it's done" line for too long. Or can they? Dun-dun-dunnnnnn!
^You'd be surprised how long some companies can use the "when it's done" line, or "soon" I think there is a larger leeway in the corporate world for when something "has" to be ready than when we as fans want it :D
Its used too often, and too often companies don't mean a single word of it. They'll still cut features, cut corners, and release a blatantly rushed project to market based entirely on the internal deadlines they have, or some other agenda entirely. BioWare and Blizzard come to mind here that are guilty of doing this.
Damn it don't give me the Dun-dun-dunnnnnn music! Anyways, glad you liked the post. Out of the blue I decided to make a Version 2.0 out of it. It might be because its Valentine's Day or maybe out of boredom. It might be creepy!
Spoiler: show
Bioware and Blizzard are primarily guilty of doing this after selling out to corporate overlords. Not sure Arenanet is in the same kind of situation, but at the very least, NCSoft probably has learned the value of a well-prepared MMO and (hopefully) won't force them to market prematurely.
I think ArenaNet has a good relationship with NCSoft. They've been with them for a really long time, and if NCSoft had really wanted Arenanet to hustle, GW2 would have been out by now. I don't think that NCSoft is going to question what Arenanet does, seeing as how GW1 is a success and they're their only ticket to the US market anymore, since Aion didn't really do so well.
GW2 is also slightly different in the marketplace in that it's sold as a BP2. So it's more along the lines of something like D3, than Rft, Tera, SW etc.
Well in their defense some companies have to cut corners. With the amount of content expected these days from MMO's and the gimmick of making the game take months to get to cap to give devs time to make more content while everyone levels up is over.(I'm looking at you FFXI)
There is a lot of content that needs to be there upon release so you can occupy the hardcore and keep the casual interested.
Dantrag lol... Dude, I was in Paradigm with Pheo, I got the full brunt of it back when the NA were overrunning the JP. Any TG people going to play GW2? I don't know if any Eden people will and I don't even keep up with Paradigm guys anymore (not like anyone actually liked them).
PHEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OT etc. Fixing... skip to 0:35 to bypass all the 'please share' crap.

Guild Wars Insider has the scoop on the confirmation of a Guild Wars 2 console version at some point after the game's PC client goes live. The source is an NCsoft earnings call, during which a couple of console-specific statements are made.
The call also mentions beta testing for the upcoming fantasy game. "In March and April there will be large-scale testing for GW2; depending on results of testing a finalized commercialization schedule will be determined. [The] console version will be launched separately from [the] PC [version] at a later date," the fan site reports.
NCsoft also says it will be considering "seasonality factors" when determining "final commercialization" for both Guild Wars 2 and Blade & Soul. Head to Guild Wars Insider for more, including audio of the call.
so basically no news lol.
Regina: "Hey, all. We saw this come up on the investor call, and wanted to respond.
I just want to reiterate that the development team is fully focused on making GW2 the best PC MMO ever released. We have a very small team exploring the possibility of console, but there are no definite plans for a console version at this time. The core of Guild Wars 2 development is fully focused on delivering a fantastic PC MMORPG experience."
Seasonal factors doesn't change anything either, since we know most companies do their launches at the best times to max out sales.
I'm trying to recruit a few people from TG that I ended playing Aion/TOR with. I think most of us are starting to get burnt out on MMOs because nothing is giving us the fire that XI or WoW used to. I actually talked with a few Paradigm guys here and there when we were trying to figure out what the next thing we were going to play would be.
oh since there isnt anything else till Monday, unless ur in beta of course lol
