Games you have played that make you rage.

You guys ain't making me feel good about beating Challenge of the Gods in GoW1 now, given I need it for a trophy on the PS3 collection. >.>

got beat to the battletoads lvl 3, which figures. I swear it's not possible. i could not for the life of me find the tiny, half a pixel sweet spot that let you land a jump.

All muscle memorization. I don't know how many hours it took me to perfect that run, especially the section where the walls come at you non-stop with no visual heads-up. What's worse is that fucking stage near the end where you have to race rats down to the bottom of the level. *That's* nearly impossible.

As for recent rages, would have to be Demon's Souls, primarily because I'm in NG+, and I keep getting one-shotted by most of the shit in the stage.

Aion and its "PvP". And by "PvP" I mean people 10 levels higher than you ganking you repeatedly when you have mobs... not even in Abyss either. I don't think I have gotten so angry at a game in my entire life, after that happens a few times in a night I literally want to find these people irl and beat the shit out of them.

As far as real games go, I'd have to say Double Dragon III for the NES.

This game got me so mad... I'm pretty good at side scrollers, but this game for whatever reason was nearly impossible for me. The main reason is you have only one life, and almost any regular enemy can combo-rape you for half your health. You get like 4 characters and when one dies another swaps in... but most of them suck so bad that it's essentially over when you lose your first one. I got so angry at this game, I pulled it out of my NES and washed it out with bleach in an attempt to wash the suck out of it. Sadly, the game still worked, and it still sucked.

must be grinding wrong then. killing every mob you see and going for big chains? if so then you are underleveled lol. game is so backwards its funny. once you know whats up tho its pretty easy to figure out how to keep your shit heavy

Alundra on the PS1 bought the nerd rage out too, game's fantastic, but it's a cheap whore.

Had (no so much) fun on Bionic Commando for X360 too. No idea why because it really isn't that difficult, but I had the hardest time on Port Anderson II on Hard mode, on the last set of enemies after the 2 mechs and group on the helipad. I don't know, but I couldn't do that part for the life of me, ended up just making a Spiderman run and hoping the the best.

The mission in Kessen II where you are running for your life with Liu Bei's army. Your outmanned 5:1 easy, and when you do think your about to reach the valley to get away, along comes FUCKING HIMIKO TO RAPE YOU IN THE EAR.

I hated that fucking mob so much. Took me about 8 tries before I finally won. It was completely luck. I got fed up after about 4 tries and went and got caught up on every other quest available, and ended up getting my Battle Rank to about 65. Still wiped the floor with me after that. He'd cheat and get an attack with every group engaged (of which I'd be forced to have all 3 deadlocked after a couple rounds), plus an additional attack just for the hell of it. Every time he attacked, it would do 50-75% damage, so 4x per round made short work of me; especially since once one group died he'd resurrect them charmed, which ensured I was dead.

I really loved and hated Last Remnant at the same time. So many times I'd run into some shit-ass mob who would wipe the floor with me over and over again, then I'd quit for a few days, then come back and get past it and start having fun, then get stuck again.

Am I the only person in the world it occurred to, after losing once...to...you know...not engage him with all my unions? Keep two with ressurection back and only engage with 1 at a time?

Strategy in a strategy game? Who knew. Seriously it was impossible to die to him, people had trouble cause they were bad at the game...not cause it was hard ><.

I get the nerd rage going when playing vs others on line, but specially lag. Maybe there was some invisible bomb/mine you flew into (WH), dmg the system didn't register and suddenly someone oneshoots you, etc. SFIV is the most rage inducing, however. Again, it's the fucking lag. I'm on my 3rd DS3 right now <_<

There are some old bullshit games like Ghosts n Goblins, R-Type, and double dragons. Idk how I beat Double D. 3, that shit was insanely cheap. Then again I somehow beat FF6 w/o understanding moonspeak.

I would have if it would let me. I simply wasn't getting commands to NOT engage it (reread what I wrote where I said I was forced to engage it). I absolutely hated the for-the-most-part random battle commands. It wasn't until after the Gates of Hell fight that I was able to start having more control over healing and forcing units to sit back and just heal.

This, exactly. There always seems to be one race on every racing game I play that I cannot beat at all. Most of the time its a side race that doesn't matter, which makes me wonder why its so hard in the first place.

Gears of War 2's shitty host selection/lack of dedicated servers/other people raging makes me rage. I have a love/hate relationship with the multiplayer on that game.

Also "puzzle" games like Zelda/Half Life 2 where you seem to be stuck infinitely until you notice a door/ladder they hid in a corner or something. After killing the Hunter-Chopper in the waterways, I didn't notice the fucking ladder you're supposed to go up to hit a switch. I was stuck there trying to ramp over shit for an hour.

Also any racing games. Road Rash was the least offensive to me.

EDIT: Also, I'm starting to hate most FPS in general. I've started to love Third-Person shooters even more, mainly because of the wider camera view.
