I get the Battle Toads reference, I too never made it past that stage, at least that I can remember.

As far as rage though, nothing in particular comes to mind, but I do have several holes in my wall (now covered up/filled) from when I was much younger playing sports games. I've thrown controllers, power supply's, just about anything close to me while playing.

As others have said, the NES TMNT and Battletoads were completely rage worthy. Never ended up beating them.

Assassin's Creed I, borrowed from a friend to see what it's about/get ready for ACII.

Run > guards descend upon your ass
Use horse for intended purpose (aka don't walk, go fast) > guards fuck you over
Brush guard when you're on horseback > horse does a barrel roll

I can get the clambering on rooftops=suspicious part, but running from A to B getting the whole damascus PD on your ass? Fuck that noise.

I really wanted to like the game, the enviroments are nice, but between the bullshit guard aggro and the stupid combat it completely turned me off.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask made me almost blackout one day from RAAAAGE! I swear I must have been doing something wrong with those goddamn Zora races because it took me forever to finish the first race, let alone try the second.

Crash Bandicoot 1 was also one that made me rage. I was trying to 100% and there was one level left that was pitch black until you hit a mask. The mask only lit things up for a little while. I beleive I went from 99 lives to like 5 by the time I got the hidden crystal in it.

Ninja Gaiden 1 was also a nightmare.

Id vote that Xmen game for the sega:

Most of the game was fine until you hit that point where you had operate a computer console and all it would tell you is that you had to reset the console. GDI i can still remember how pissed off i was when i figured out that you needed to reset the damn sega! I cant think of any other game where you had to hit the reset button to procede further in the game. so pissed off to this day about that lol.

As a runner up i would put Resident Evil

Dont get me wrong, the game was fantastic. But the rage point for me was trying to find a damn item that i needed to move onward with the plot... only to realize that i had it the entire time! the DAMN thing was hidden in a book or something, you could only see it if you rotated a pook you picked up, for a diferant puzzle..., and examined every potrion of it. Oh so rage worthy!
