Ahh ok, thanks. Thought it was pretty cool how last night i was roaming around collecting desert sage, for the challenge, and happened onto a gang hideout. Stuff like that is pretty great in the game

Just finished the game myself and have never been sadder at an ending, god dammit it made me mad.
Keep going.
Does the pure quantity of exp you get for doing hideouts in free roam go down as you get higher up?
I did a twin rocks earlier and got like 400 exp for soloing it with expert targeting, I could swear just the targeting bonus used to be bigger than that.
It makes me sad to even be making this post but here goes. I finally had a little bit of time the other night to pop this in the PSTriple and give it a go. I was really looking forward to it and am still shocked about how disappointed I was. First off I normally don't really get bothered by sub par graphics if the rest of the game makes up for it but, damn this game is ugly. The cutscenes look alright and if you are close up near stuff it looks okay but anything else around you is so muddled and hard to make out, really pissed that they spent so much money making this game and there is massive pop up issues including in the middle of cutscenes, it should have been more polished then that. The worst part about it is it was hard to make out animals and even people when doing a mission to decipher what was what that I had to strain the shit outta my eyes and both times I played I ended up with a massive headache, maybe it's cause I am getting older but my eyes couldn't take it. (Played it on two different High end Tv's, a 46" LED and a 60" Plasma before the "Get a better TV/connection/etc. comments")
I liked the setting and all but even the little bit I played Marston's VA drove me insane, and after the first hour it really started to feel like GTAIV. With all of the glitching (Little Shit in a AAA game: WHY THE FUCK DO I TIP MY HAT WHEN I GREET SOMEONE IN THE GENTLEMANS ATTIRE WHEN THERE IS NO FUCKING HAT) while driving a carriage and the like it really got annoying. I did not give MP a chance and won't get to as I am about to head to Gamestop to have my boy do a straight trade for Alan Wake.
I really expected this game to wow the shit outta me, I wish it had, I wanted to love it. FORGIVE ME GUYS! But I don't see it. : :
can u spam the same gang hideouts in free roam, or do u need to make a new session to do it again?
and arch: some of your points are valid but you may have not given it enough of a chance. I disliked GTA4 and I enjoy this game much more, but there are a lot of glitches. I don't think the graphics are that bad though, much better then gta4
Your avatar suddenly looks like a giant pussy.
I kid!
Spoiler: show
Get a better tv.

I thought that as well, story seems to be good, and I like the variety and types of stuff you can do in this Vs. GTAIV which I hated, but like I said maybe with age my eyes are getting shitty but that plus the graphics equal a massive headache after 45min-1hr of play which isn't worth it. (I can't think of another game that has ever done this.)
You know my TV's are top tier.![]()
Jut a few tips for those planning on platinuming this, do the 5000 bounty pardon and white horse trophies at the same time, and once you have access to blackwater. If you do it at max fame, it takes forever to get a 5k bounty.
Im 1.2% from 100% the game, just need to do a couple bounties and a couple more trophies.
Getting a replacement PS3 tonight finally. The drive on the last one burned out right before release for this. So I finally get to play it tonight. Really fucking excited. Probably no online tonight to try to get my legs under me about it, but tomorrow -> forever I should be good to go for some posse action.
Did you fuck with your TV's settings? My tv is fucked up and has "LCD burn-in" (persistence of image) making a huge dark spot covering most of the top half of the middle of the screen, and the only issues I've had like what you're talking about are trying to pick stuff out in that area, and only during in-game nights.
But yeah, other than the pop-in stuff (which I haven't had happening with mine), you're the only person I've heard with these complaints.
Especially the part where you said cutscenes look ok is really confusing, because they did not use pre-rendering in the cutscenes anywhere at all. It's the exact same as the actual game.
There is pop-in, in the game, a bush here and there and mountains will refigure sometimes, just like in GTA 4. Besides that the game is beautiful.
Thought I would post this here for anyone who needs help finding a certain animal.

From a tech standpoint, the game doesn't look that great. There are pop-in, resolution, and texture problems just like in GTA4. The game more than makes up for those deficiencies with incredibly good scenery though.
