For what it's worth (albeit fucking random, frustratingly so), I ran across it somewhat east (and slightly north) of Campo Mirada.

All of the listed areas (unless they're set, like with the four horses) didn't yield jack shit, and I just ran across both the Chupacabra and Unicorn on my own.

Just finished the storyline and side quests for Undead Nightmare. Best DLC I've ever played, well worth the $10. Anybody else have problems with the game freezing while you were in the Las Hermanas area, trying to do the nun's portion of the quest? Found this page describing they know about and ways to work around it, but I'm hoping they fix it; that's a pretty major bug.

Double-XP weekend in effect. Time to grind from 44 to 50 for my legend trophy....

Picked me up the Undead Nightmare retail release just yesterday, so I hope to get a lot of these multiplayer DLC trophies out of the way.

How is the online community in Red Dead? I was thinking about picking up the game around Christmas. However, I am sort of a trophy whore. If I won't be able to 100% the game due to the fact that I'm picking up the game so late, kind of a deterrent.

It's an enjoyable game, I really can't recommend passing it up (and Undead Nightmare for that matter) over some silly trophy shit. There's still scheduled matches posted over on GameFAQs (but its GameFAQs), so take that as you will. Mostly for Undead Nightmare online, but online regardless.

yea RDR is one of the best games of the year, even if you're not a fan of the genre. Definitely not worth missing especially if you can get it for less than 60 bucks

Bucking the trend of awarding "Game of the Year" editions only to games that never received that honorific anywhere, from anyone ('sup Two Worlds 2?) Rockstar has just announced Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition, a $50 compendium of all of the RDR content released to date, available on Xbox 360 and PS3 this October.

In case you've lost track of the gargantuan game's extensive extras, Rockstar has helpfully catalogued them in the announcement. Ready? Deep breath: The popular Undead Nightmare DLC pack; the Legends and Killers Pack; the Liars and Cheats Pack; the Outlaws To The End Co-Op Mission Pack; the previously PS3-only Solomon's Folly gang hideout; and the recently released Myths and Mavericks Bonus Pack. In the off-chance that such a gaming feast hasn't sated your appetite, the Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition also includes a "brand-new hardcore single-player mode."

North American gamers can pick up the pack on October 11, while international riff-raff will have to wait until October 14. We didn't tame this wild frontier for nothing, guys.

Is the hardcore SP mode exclusive to GOTY or was it included in another DLC? I've been thinking about picking dusting off the case and playing this again, and a hardcore mode would be pretty awesome.

Hardcore mode as in Expert Aim? I think you can toggle that in the settings. Same with the Radar if you include that.

obviously not what it's talking about since that wouldn't be brand-new...

Hard core mode is exclusive to the GOTY, I want to know what exactly it entails, I may end up getting this even tho I own it on both consoles, trade in the regular edition towards it. I also have bought all of the DLc too, so uggh.

I'd buy it just for Solomon's Folly, I might actually get to Legend 5 with it.

I'm interested to see what they'll add to Hardcore mode. Maybe they'll go New Vegas style with this but not expecting something far out new since this game is finished by this point.

Solomon's Folly was a great grind spot for me on the PS3 version. >_> Better than Pike's Basin.

not trying to be an ass, it's an honest question, as i'm wondering what's really new to this version - if it's a top 20 for you you must've downloaded all of the addons. why would you buy this version?

i love the game too for what it's worth.

Shame they had to nerf the XP on it.

I really should get back and finish up to Legendary, only a couple levels short, and that assist-kills trophy for multiplayer-related stuff.

As for GOTY, would love it to add to my collection, but I already own all the content via core game & Undead Nightmare retail. Just a shame a shitload of the DLC multiplayer modes are a ghost town. They should have made the gambling minigames a freebie.
