Some more info: Bass will be playable through DLC, like how you could download Proto Man in MM9. There is also word that there is a two-player mode built into the game somehow.

Reader SeiferA sent in this rumor a few days back, but I held off from posting. Basically, it was a collection of rumored info on Mega Man 10. The post itself is dated from November 21st. When I first read through, I thought the information to be a little too detailed to be spot-on, so I held onto it. Imagine my surprise when Nintendo Power confirmed the game today.
Below I've posted the info, word-for-word. As you can see, there is plenty of information that was 100% correct. There's also some other information that hasn't been revealed yet. It may be mentioned in the full Nintendo Power issue, or Capcom might be holding onto it a bit longer. Of course, it could be fake as well. With that said, I feel that I have to share it with you, since the majority of the info turned out to be the real deal.
It will be WiiWare and keep the 8-bit style. 360 and PS3 seems likely, but I was only outright told WiiWare.
It will have no relation to Mega Man X (just pointing this out, since some people might think they might choose to do that with X equating to 10.)
Both Mega Man and Proto Man are playable (it appears Proto Man will be unlockable, or become available at some point midway through the game.)
There will be DLC to play as Bass. His gameplay will be based on how he played in Mega Man & Bass.
The ’story’ is basically as such: Robots get a virus that makes them sick. Roll catches it, Mega Man has to get Wily’s help to find a cure (Wily claims he has nothing to do with it, but… yeah), and the 8 bosses each hold part of the cure.
And here is the biggy… it will be two players. No idea if story mode will be two people, or if there will be some specialized two player mode though.
And oh yes… it’s far enough along that it is already being translated into English.
Would be pretty awesome if the two player mode was like how that one fan was making the co-op game with Megaman and Protoman (forgot what it was called, it was posted on BG before too).
Fuck yes. I'm loving this already. Although granted, its not the same "oh god its been so long" feeling that Megaman 9 brought. Speaking of that, I was playing MM9 the other day. Feels good man, feels good.

Why is everything coming out in march? I'm going to be broke during that month just buying 3 reserved games alone.Though we just found out about Mega Man 10, we won't have to wait long at all before we can try it. Nintendo's new Q1 schedule gives a March 2010 date for the WiiWare run-and-gun -- just two months after Capcom starts releasing Phoenix Wright ports. What a wonderful time to have an Internet-connected Wii and enjoy Capcom products.
With the release so close, we expect more information to come out soon, starting with character art for all the bosses and the mysterious third character. We currently only know of the delightful Sheep Man and Commando Man.

Not much of a shock, what with Mega Man 9 being multiplatform, but since the game's debut was in a Nintendo magazine, it's still worth spelling it out: Mega Man 10 is a multiplatform title.
As disclosed in the latest issue of Famitsu, the game will be appearing not only on Nintendo's WiiWare service, but on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network as well.
Surprise!
Well, to be frank, it's probably the only one of three things Nintendo users even have to look forward to in the next couple months, vs. the onslaught of high-caliber games 360/PS3 are going to get barraged with soon enough.
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom? No More Heroes 2? Megaman 10? I'm set for the year
Thank God it isn't only on Wii...can't wait :D
In the artist drawing of megaman in the OP, his arm cannon is on the wrong arm. >.>
GD lefties.
This is ineed awesome news. I always loved MM9 though I think Capcom kind of went overboard with spikes.
TBH you're not missing a whole lot on MM8. The only thing I will always remember about MM8 was Dr. Light sounded like Elmer Fudd.Icould really use a copy of Mega Man 8 on XBL/PSN, it's the only one of the classic series I never got to play.
Regardless, day one purchase for me on MM10, loved the shit out of 9, and was well surprised they kept it completely faithful to the original, with the exception of the bitch.

Sonic on the cover of a Nintendo Power seems weird to me.
Only have the PSX version, so didn't get to fight him D:

Sportsman, Axman, Sandman? From what I could guess from that trailer.
lol at that Easy Mode included part =x
Be interesting if they tie in this roboenza with maverick virus somehow in the ending.
lol @ easy mode.
Mega Man without insta-kill spikes isn't Mega Man.
Those look like some fun as hell stages though, particularly the one with the fast vehicles and the sand zone.
