"Megaman anime" was giving me a bunch of unrelated video. Thanks.

The identities of the Mega Man 10 Robot Masters has been somewhat of a tenuous situation following the name leak at CES. We’ve stood by our pledge not to report the names until Capcom officially announced them. And now… they have, via CoroCoro Comic in Japan. The full roster is… are you ready? Really ready? Ok, you probably know. But it’s Sheep Man, Commando Man, Pump Man, Blade Man, Strike Man, Solar Man, Chill Man and Nitro Man. The above scan shows, from left to right, Pump Man, Strike Man, Chill Man and Solar Man. The other four are presumably shown on another page. These brief descriptions are given of the Robot Masters:Commando Man: Attacks with a powerful explosive wave.
Blade Man: Attacks with three swords.
Nitro Man: Can transform into a motorcycle. (Perhaps Turbo Man’s little bro?)
Sheep Man: Splits up and creates lightning strikes.
Solar Man: Absorbs attacks and attacks with solar energy from his head.
Chill Man: Fires an icy shot. (Curiously, he seems to be called Chilled Man in here.)
Pump Man: Has a water-themed shield weapon.
Strike Man: Throws a powerful fastball.http://i45.tinypic.com/1org9y.jpgNitro Man and Blade Man
Blademan's head looks funny to me lol
Other than that only Pumpman looks stupid to me. Kinda like a fucked up Diveman.
lol @ baseball man

^ The airship, Blade, from Super Mario RPG?!
Wow I nearly missed Blademan....
Wow this is a stark reminder of how much Megaman I've missed out on. I wasn't even aware there was a MM Legends 2 and the only series I played outside of the original 1-9 and X 1-4 was one of the Battle Network games and a Star Force one, both of which I never gave much of a chance.
Is ZX where you're collecting/saving little robot men to get new abilities and such? lol
No I believe that's the Zero series you're talking about.
Those are some interesting robot masters there. One has to wonder why someone thought Pump Man would be a good idea, aside from the easy to make jokes associated with the name.
Nah that's Megaman Zero. ZX is the DS series, I only played the first one, but it's basicly like Megaman Zero, but without the cyber fairies (I think that's what they were called).
At this point, I think it's them running out of good name ideas. Those are some interesting robot masters there. One has to wonder why someone thought Pump Man would be a good idea, aside from the easy to make jokes associated with the name.
I think they ran out of "good" names/concepts some years ago. I did like a few from 7, 8 and 9 though.
I thought Splash Woman, Magma Man, and Galaxy Man were good names. However Bee Man and Concrete Man were just WTF at me.
The fanmade MM game had some hit or miss names as well.
EDIT: Actually now that I think about it... Wasn't Blademan the name of one of the robot masters in the shitty DOS games?
They could always just dip into more real world professions and earth-based elements. Police Man, Disgruntled Postal Man, Congress...Man.
Granite Man, Copper Man, Metallurgy Man, Plastic Man... there is room to grow, moving AWAY from names like.. Pump Man.
Hell, just stick to the military themes like Search Man and Napalm Man. Combat Man, Ground Man (tank-type), Warfare Man, Scope Man (obviously a sniper).
There was a Blade Man on MM3 for the PC, but all the robots in that game had similar designs to the ones from the original 2 and 3. On another note, I'd never heard about RKS until seeing it mentioned in this thread. So I went to check it out and just beat it last night. I just loved all the old-school gaming references as well as their blatant copying of certain parts of Megaman levels. I look forward to the next one due out this summer.
At any rate, some of the weak bosses in the games turned out to have some nice weapons like rain flush in MM4 which was nice for getting rid of a number of enemies onscreen. One of my favorite weapons from the series though would have to be the pharaoh shot. Charge it up and throw it in different directions. You could even hit enemies while charging up the thing if they were overhead and you could still unload at full power even after the fact.
Pharaoh shot, Atomic fire, Shadow blade, Metal blade were the best IMO. I just wish Megaman had an awesome power up jiggle like Pharaoh man when he charged up his big shot. Powering up that kind of energy with a single finger = badass.
The one thing I didn't like about the shadow blade though was it couldn't shoot downward like its predecessor. Throwing a giant shuriken made up for that at least and it was also pretty strong. Despite having beaten MM3 so many times, I would've never thought to use top spin on Wily's final form in that game.
