Weapons are pretty good for the most part, Chill Spike and Wheel Cutter are top tier in my opinion. Triple Blade and Water Shield are pretty rad most of the time too, quite effective for enemies. I didn't really use the others, Solar Blaze in very specific situations.

I like how you can actually find some E-tanks and W-tanks in this game, feels like an older Megaman game compared to 9 where you could find them extremely rarely.
How? half of them made no sense.

The game was too easy imo. I beat it on normal in like 2-3 hours, which is pretty damn short compared to most megaman (on my first run). It's fun, but I was expecting a bit more out of the game. Oh well, going for the achievement tomorrow.

And fuck the wii remote. I constantly hit the B button accidently, and it change the skill. It's pretty damn annoying.

    Solarman's Solar Blaze melts Chillman.
Chillman's Chill Spike is a spikestrip for Nitroman.
Nitroman's Wheel Cutter beats Commandoman. (no logic to this one)
Commandoman's Commando Bomb beats Blademan (like bringing a knife to a gunfight)
Blademan's Triple Blade cuts up Strikeman (literally slicing up a baseball, although its tough with just a knife)
Strikeman's Rebound Striker beats Sheepman. (no logic to this one)
    Sheepman's Thunder Wool electrocutes Pumpman.
    Pumpman's Water Shield extinguishes Solarman.

To me, most of them make sense. Originally I thought Wheel Cutter would be Sheepman's weakness cause its like shearing off his wool, but I was wrong lol. And I beat the game in <1.5 hours my first run, I don't know what you're complaint about the length is, most classic series games are pretty short if you don't suck ass

How could you tell from the main screen that Nitroman had wheel, or that Chillman's attack was going to be spike on the ground?

How could you tell that homing missing would beat a freaking sword? Bring a rocket launcher to a sword fight? That's some obvious logic right here. ....Hell, I didn't even know wtf was commando man before reaching the boss, and I'm still not quite sure what he was after beating it.

Blade against baseball bat? Again, there is no real logic, especially if you consider that blade man attack is 3 little darts.

Electricity against water....it's a classic, but it could have been the opposite (water short circuit electricity). Water against "solar man"? It could have been ice, but this one was a given considering there was no other "fire" type.

Seriously, if you guessed any from the main screen outside Sheepman, pumpman and solarman, it was just luck. Nitro man was obvious once you see him in action if you have the skill already, but not obvious right away.

I thought it was obvious and I knew what the weapons were before playing because Capcom told us lol

I couldnt figure out what bosses beat what, especially since sheep man did dick against pump man with his gay shield and the fact the electric attack blows in general.

I didn't like 10 as much as 9. The weapons were all meh.

I got all hyped up about 10 then realized that it doesn't come out FOREVER for XBL, so I've been playing 9. Goddamn, I forgot how frustrating these games can be.

Can a mod take out the "?" in the title please? Can't wait to use bass if he acts like his previous self though.

Been playing Hard Mode as Protoman (skipped playing as Megaman since I did him as Normal Mode) and its been actually very frustrating, even for a Megaman champ like myself. I'm surprised and happy at the difficulty, since Megaman 9's "Superhero Mode" made me hardly yawn. Maybe its because Protoman takes double damage, but this mode is hard as fuck and the bosses can be very hard without their weaknesses. Blademan is even hard as hell with his weakness since its practically impossible to dodge his attacks reliably... he shoots 5 blades at once!

I got them all the first try as well in guessing. Started with Sheep Man and made some gusses on Blade Man's weakness and was able to get it right.

I also figured Nitro Man was something fast and Ice would "Freeze him in his tracks" but the spike floor thing makes sense too.

The Wheel Cutter on Commando Man and the Commando Bomb on Blade Man were the only guessed ones for me (since I started with Sheep Man no concern about Rebound Striker)

These prolly made more sense than most other MM games and it was cute how using the skills in a certain manner did more damage.

I figure I need to use spoilers regarding the last stages/story/ending since this hasn't come out on the other systems yet so...

    Spoiler: show
I am surprised the Roboenza wasn't linked to the Maverick Virus for the future like I originally predicted and a bit sad that another game you didn't get to fight Bass (or control Roll ;; ).

And holy shit at the last fight my hats off to the one who can beat the game without getting damaged Challenge.

Ending was cute and had expected it to be a bit longer... oh well, perhaps it can show there is some kindness in Dr. Wily for something later on regarding Zero if they ever plan to link this somehow

Regarding the game compared to Megaman 9, I think some people's beliefs on it being not as good as 9 was because 9 was something out of the blue and unexpected so it was viewed nicely. The ending was overall a very nice touch especially if it was going to be the last of the series (9 that is). 10 was like a sequel and didn't immediately deliever something "grand" as compared to 9.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed it quite well and have to play it a bit more especially with the DLC coming in the future to see where I stand with it compared to 9. I found this one a bit harder than 9 imho but that is just me.

Random thought but is it just me or Commando Man's stage makes me think of U.S in the Middle East?

    Edit:
    Spoiler: show
f you Block Devil, the only normal boss I used E tanks on

    Edit 2:
Hilarious and broken compared to his Rockman and Forte version, he looks pretty queer though:

Fuck yeah Bass. There is absolutely no canon reason why Megaman is stronger than Bass, given that Bass has a stronger power supply, the same adaptation circuitry, and far superior armor and base weaponry.

Meh, the whole "only good guys find the strength to win!" schpeal is so boring, but ah well. Good too see we'll be getting our money's worth in Bass being so broken.

I'm liking the dash I see on Bass.

Also I finally beat Hard Mode with Protoman. Some of the enemy placements are just downright unfair and you will get fucked over the first time you come across it because you don't know what's coming and suddenly you've been knocked into a bottomless pit. Also, it was kinda ridiculous how much damage Protoman takes from some attacks, easily knocking off 40% of his life in one hit. But I still did it. If you haven't played Protoman Mode, there's only two cutscene differences, but Protoman is still pretty cool.

That annoying explosive thing with a parachute got me so much due to my own stupidity forgetting about them constantly

The parachute bombs are indeed annoying, probably the most annoying of the pit jumper enemies in any Megaman game. Sometimes you have to jump under them, sometimes you have to blow them up as they rise and quickly jump past the pit, sometimes you have to do some crazy ass manuever to get past them (in any case where the parachute bomb comes out on the right side of the pit as opposed to the center). Definately hate them

Holy crap Bass looks well worth the money to DL him.

This is why I'm more of an anti-hero person. They're still good guys, but at the same time they're usually pricks/assholes instead of the "I must prevail" crap.

Thunder Wool work well against the parachute jumper, if you know they are comming that's it. Otherwise, leap of faith and pray that you have a bird left

Easy enough to avoid them by shooting them as they come up and jumping right afterwards. I just kept forgetting that they may sometimes be there and jump :\ Especially after the previous jumps were fine except that ONE single jump...

Thunder Wool was a pretty good idea though never thought of that.

It doesn't always work to just shoot them and jump over, they have differing rates where they appear and sometimes the best way is just to jump under them when they're at the apex of their jump

Well, in normal mode it was always fine for me doing it that way if I realized there was one in that pit lol

Been trying Challenge 1 modes and rather like how they do short challenges that don't involve the whole game, while also leaving Challenge 2 for whole game scenarios
