I haven't been following it religiously, but afaik we still have yet to find out the multiplier for the middle skill needed. Unless it's 1x or 2x though, the shitstorm is going to get even worse. I'm not one to go ballistic and whine, but even I think they've turned the screws a bit too tight. I was expecting something like x1 then x3-4 then x5-7.
Also, man I hope the reading of the event post that the 3x SP happens tomorrow as well is the right one. I only reached 386k before I had to log. Maybe I'll be able to stay awake and get some more in in a few hours.
I've been trying to tell people not to get used to all the skills they have now before uprising. There's no way in hell that CCP would let us spec into prototype suits/weapons/modules on may 6th when they have plenty of boosters to sell. Even if people do, it's going to be just like two months ago when you could kill them with militia gear because they mathematically didn't have the SP for all the modules and weapons to support the suit. Can't count how many times I've killed a lolProto-Assault w/Gek using my trusty flux grenade mass driver combo. But I digress...
As of right now, it looks like we'll have enough SP to get back into STD/ADV gear, while prototype is more specialized for endgame.
After all the leaked uprising footage, I can't even stomach this game enough to get capped. I'm almost tempted to start AFK farming. The CoDex build is by far one of the worst ones out here. Not going to lie. I'm having a hard time getting into the game right now. I still have the basic starting gear. I get worked over every single match by the countless snipers camping the spawn points. I usually get to play for 60 seconds or less before I get killed and have to respawn and that's IF I make it out of the spawn point death trap.![]()
That's just about every post on the forums right now so nobody has to visit them until the 6th when everyone will have something new to rage and QQ about. But, in this case everyone is right. CCP is slowly turning this game into CoD 514.TL;DR

Heavies gets a range/damage nerf, Scouts get slower, HAV get forced into the mountains to redline snipe, LAV are still paper, Dropships continue to get whored when it comes to WP and fitting and Assaults get another buff. CCP, Y U no like variety?
It is disconcerting, I've even poked CCP Frame over it. I do hope those threads become threadnaughts that force a proper response. TO PAGE 100!
The ISK fixes are welcome though (the cost of a standard uplink was retarded). Now advanced level gear should be isk/match neutral, standard runs you a profit, proto runs you a loss (unless you're Zitro).
And nanofiber for vehicles being gone. It had gotten to the point I simply stopped bothering with swarms for dropships, a forge gun was far more likely to connect.
I was hoping the charge sniper would get standard/advanced/proto version instead of just moving it to proto, ah well. If it's to expensive I guess I'll just have to switch to a tac fit.
I'm most concerned about the passive scan changes though. Since a hefty chunk of my capability comes from MGS (and as a main THF), that radar is my baby for keeping me alive, my peripheral is trained to keep it a priority.
Yeah, the Devs need to do a little more than locking threads and trolling to connect with their fanbase. All trolling aside, these people care about the game because it's not another CoD clone, and because it has potential to be something. Releasing the patch notes early as promised was good, but the reasoning behind the more questionable changes could have shed some light on what to expect. Instead, they just threw more fuel on the fire.
Gallente scout looks like it's going to be the go to for passive scanning, they already have a huge base scanning/precision and the suit bonus is going to make it that much better. If you don't want to go that route, the active scanner looks pretty reliable. With nova knives looking actually usable this build, I'm almost tempted to be a knifing scout. That rusty, jagged Minmatar knife looks so badass.
That's exactly what I asked them to do. If nothing's been done by the time I wake up, I'll probably pester Cmdr Wang, and possibly even hop on IRC.
The only time I currently use scout is for my match-start hack run and uplink dropping. My survival time has been ticking up, to the point of hitting zero ammo, but I much prefer the HP of assaults. I have to cover for my human skill deficit with numbers. I've gotten better, but I'm still a slow RPG player at heart. While I theorycrafted them pages back, it hasn't been a priority yet to skill into those speed and sensor fits.
I don't plan on using the active scanner much, the only place I'd want to use it is to scan an installation interior from the outside wall to get intel for the team. Trying to use it in combat like Jenza did in the video isn't something I'd advise. It'll probably be more useful if it can see through cloak once that comes in. And I personally won't really mess with knives until cloak comes in.
Caldari Logi is probably going to be my general suit with it's slot layout and bonuses. Gallente is the better scout in bonuses, but oh god fuck that slot layout (same goes for the sentinel, 1/4 is retarded), and Minmatar is only going to be able to fit two catalyzers. As for Assault, I'm not decided on Amarr vs. Caldari yet. If you have to rapidly trigger a scrambler rifle like with tac rifles, then it's not going to fit with my ability.
Does it have duct-tape for a handle? It should.
Oh god, I want that Minmatar dropship they showed during fanfest. It's essentially a rusted up Borderlands 2 Buzzard. (The tank is hilarious as well.)
They all need to have constant little explosion and stuff-falling-off animations.
I've always loved Minmatar design since EVE. I still remember when I got my first faction Rifter. When I left port, people kept trying to salvage me.

So, with the exception of sniper rifles (which got a buff) they basically ninja nerfed except for the Assault Rifle's damage. That's kind of fucked up and imbalanced. All I'm seeing on the kill feeds for the past 2 days are GEK-38s and Duvolles.
Also, tankers got their PG ninja nerfed too so they can barely equip what they used to.

Charge may have gotten +30 damage, but it's also harder to fit, and even with that, HP is up all around enough that I'm getting plenty of non-oneshots on non-heavies. I've busted all my SP so I could manage to shoehorn a 3 complex damage mod setup and sniper proficiency, and it's only performing as well as my old 2 mod setup. With stacking penalties, 4 or 5 likely won't improve much (they are there, it's a display bug).
Also, the chevrons for enemies come up a lot slower, and you basically need to have your sights right on top of them. My habit of scanning is serving me well enough, but for anyone who relied on the tacnet exclusively, it's going to be bad.
At least the devs have been out in full force the past 24 hours, and I just heard from sources that they are completely aware it's been an Incarna level fuckup.
Heavies took a huge hit. I turned a corner in Skim Junction and a heavy was standing there going full auto, but doing no damage. Seriously, I could piss further than the HMG range right now. Instead of killing him because he was in my way, I did it out of mercy with an SMG... a fucking SMG.
So get this, I have level 5 Mass Driver proficiency, 3 complex damage mods, and it takes me a full clip just to kill a standard suit with a Freedom. Just about everybody in my squad were complaining about their weapons if they weren't using an Assault Rifle. It got to the point that we all started asking each other what other games we had. Four of us found out we all had Borderlands 2 and went to go play that instead while the other two went to go play Defiance because they felt it was more balanced and less glitched than Dust 514 CoD 514. Think about that second, CCP "fixed" this game so much that two people felt like playing Defiance because they feel like it's more balanced and stable. Wow... just wow...
I can see that. The buggy Defiance beta build (which was worse then Chromosome imo), was a little bit better than Uprising is at the moment.
Chromosome was functional, the bugs were generally quality of life, and it's on it's back that I'm going to hold on and stay with it, talk to the devs and try to get them going the right way again. But they have burned some trust.
It's a shame, if the graphics were left the same and all Uprising had was the new models, gear, skills (with better multipliers), modes, maps, and all the bugfixes we were expecting, it would have bean a phenomenal update.
The CPM is saying though, all the control problems we've been having, WAS NOT in the build they played/was used in the tournament at fanfest. Planetary Conquest was in that build afaik, so maybe there's some kind of difference between the May 6th and May 14th update? idk
I don't know about that. Defiance is still very fucked up across the board. We're still having a ton of issues with glitched quests, co-op, voice chat, Shadow War, horrible cropping and draw in, enemies and teammates disappearing in front of you, etc. Defiance is fun enough but even with my limited experience with Dust I would say Dust is by far and away more polished. Plus their devs seem to be more accessible than the Defiance team. Those dudes don't even acknowledge their own forums. It's honestly kind of sad.
At this point, I'd rather CCP not acknowledge the forums and focus on making Dust 514 the way they want to make it. If you check the forums, it's nothing but people crying to nerf x weapon or x class. The nerf bat has been swung around so much that the meta game isn't about the flavor of the month but pissing and moaning on the forums, especially from twitch FPS tryhards that don't understand the concept of cyclic imbalance. Every class has been nerfed to hell except for the assault and the logistics. Now people are trying to get the fucking logistics nerfed because assaults feel threatened that they have more slots than them despite all but one not having access to a sidearm wand class specific and EWAR modules have't been implemented yet. I love Dust 514 as much as the next person, but if they nerf logi, I'm serious going to quit.
