If the AT&T DSL available at my apartment wasn't complete shit, I wouldn't have hacked the tethering feature so I can hook up my computer to my iPhone for the (faster than my shitty DSL) 3G.

But it is, so I do. Everything I type on here, all my web browsing, torrenting, porn downloading, video watching, whatever - it's all on AT&T's 3G network.

AT&T was the king years ago. Its been withering away as of the past few years in terms of quality, customer service, coverage, and cost. Anyone that says Verizon is not > AT&T in the current market in the United States for mobile service, is in denial badly. (Also before anyone goes pulling the fanboy card, I was a AT&T customer for up to 9 years.)

Between school and home I mainly end up using Wi-Fi most of the time so this probably would cost me that much. On my iPhone now too.

I'd definitely like Verizon better if I could get it (I'm nearer the start of my contract than end though, so even if exclusivity ends I'll be stuck with AT&T). The coverage problems are still very annoying in populated places with lots of other users. I don't think I ever got a stable signal at Blizzcon this year which sucked. I've actually always had AT&T though so I can't really compare it.

My husband just got me an iPhone, but we happen to live in South Korea where it was only just released ^^; I don't think I would ever have gotten an iPhone in the US if I'd been forced to use ATT's service. The networks over here were much more ready to handle the added trafic from the iPhone, since there have been similar phones on the market here for years. The iPhone itself is definitely popular (preorders for the first batch sold out in hours), but it's not going to have as huge an impact here as in many other places.

Love my new iPhone, and love being ATT free ^^

I don't even get 3G coverage where I am, so att is already getting paid for services they don't deliver. It would be nice if they considered that fact when they calculate monthly fees.

no 3G plan = $x-5 or 10

As I said earlier...WiFi. Unless I'm driving or out shopping or something, I'm almost always on some sort of WiFi connection.

Oh, and since someone already mentioned it...Been with cingular/AT&T for, like, 9 years. never had an issue with customer service or anything. Very pleasant.

AT&T has never been king. Verizon has always had the best cell coverage and customer service, and Sprint has always had the best internet. service. AT&T always came second in both and was able to pull decent grades in the overall category.

I just want to say we have iPhones provided through Rogers in Canada and they are having none of them problems that AT&T has

also I believe Rogers is losing their exclusivity, probably a good idea for in the states too
