Yup, also made sure to get the vista/win7 version which was 59.9mb. As I mentioned, it works fine if I simply load it normally, but using windower 3.4 it acts like it's going to open then something crashes it.

right click desktop, click gadgets, drag calendar to your desktop.
someone said it doesnt matter anymore, but i think its worth a shot anyway if ffxi isnt working.

I guess what I am asking is, I have PS auto load. I can not figure out what to do after this in order to change. I have tried to enter elvaan m and face 1a in the insert but nothing happens after i change gear. What exactly do I type in and where? thanks for the info.

If you want to do it from in-game, the commands would be //plasticsurgeon race # (plink around and try the numbers, I think it's 3 for Elv M) and //plasticsurgeon face 1a iirc. Or you can just bring up the console and replace the // with .

Hyper Ultra Necro Bump cuz I can't find the post where I remember Nitsuj asking about ideas for plug-ins. Cuz I randomly got some.

1) Ammo counter: tracks the amount & type of ammo equipped.

2) Shihei counter: tracks the amount of Shihei ninja tools in your inventory.

Call it lazy mode if you want to, just think the first idea will help out RNGs the most.

Booty (yea, i know, fface) does this with shihei for sure. IIRC you could make it track ammo as well.

Having problems with Windower 4.32 starting with Windows 7 Pro 32Bit.


Using "launcher" nothing happens. Using "launcher_GUI" I get this.

I have McAfee Security Center running, so I tried disabling it, but there's no simple OFF switch to this damn thing, so I'm not sure what to do.


Any help is appreciated.

Figured out what's wrong. Had to lower security setting for warning notifications, when opening applications, to the lowest setting.

I am also running win7 64.

One thing I learned from other games is to set the UAC to not dim the screen when it kicks in.

There is a thread in the tech forum that has a large write up on how to set up ffxi/windower on it. I used that guide and it worked for me. If you haven't checked it out already I'd suggest looking there,

Haven't seen anyone posting this but can anyone help me find a fix for this issue?

I boot up windower and a window comes up saying "preparing to install pol and tetra master", it's annoying because I have to click cancel 3-6 times for it to show me the log on screen, same thing happens when I do /shutdown, I have to click cancel several times as well. This started happening on my laptop like 3 months ago and now it's happening on my desktop. Any ideas?

Sounds more like a POL Viewer install issue than a Windower issue. Can you confirm if the behavior occurs when you don't use Windower? I'd suggest either repairing your POL Viewer install or uninstalling and reinstalling POL Viewer.

That sounds like a good option, I'll try logging w/o windower and see if I get the same issue.

I usually get that error when I mess with dats, do a file check on POL and FFXI and see if it fixes your problem.

To do this, open POL and do File Check. Select POL from drop down. Let it finish, then do the same again except choose FFXI from drop down.

I'll try this, but I have never messed with the .dats...
