Not that I give a shit about Spike, but am I reading this right?

How exactly can UC2 be GOTY, when it LOST Best Action Adventure Game to Assassins Creed II which was also nominated for GOTY? Not even the best within its own genre, but still game of the year?

Stop trying to put logic to the VGA awards, their historicaly bad and dont make sense. Also game of the year was purely chosen by the fans.

Just watched the Halo: Reach trailer and I loved the music. Music was great as usual.

As for the rest? Graphics looked good and hopefully they'll clean them up a little bit more, but ultimately there's nothing to 'think' about it. It didn't show anything that wasn't to be expected (though the Spartan with the painted skull on the helmet is badass).
I knew there would be no gameplay footage this early, and that's fine. But as far as I'm concerned that's what's going to make or break this game in my mind. If Bungie can get off their arse and make more than a very basic fps that's outdated by 8 years, or if they'll just make it the same mediocre gameplay while laughing all the way to the bank.

I try so hard to still enjoy Halo because I'm a sucker for an indepth story and the extended lore was something I always loved reading... but with Halo 3 and onwards it's getting harder and harder to keep from feeling completely pessimistic about the series.

So yeah, music was fantastic.

ACII is one most boring piece of shit, I can't force myself to finish it anymore, even with skipping all the side quests.

In all seriousness, unless you're the Lord of the Rings, you don't win every award you're up for. Like with the MTV VMAs Beyonce won Video of the Year but Taylor Swift beat her in best female video.

Shit like this happens ALL the time. It's common, and it certainly doesn't mean that the contest was rigged.

its not a category people really care about, so it doesnt surprise me, most people dont even know who the people are so they just vote the name instead
