Anyone know if the date thing is still up in the air? Roach seemed to think it was too soon after the tough cotto fight and the 13th being close to when Manny will run for office. He wanted it in may instead but I'd love to see it sooner rather than later.

Pacman will only fight on March 13th (Elections are on May 8 so he will be able to campaign after the fight) Lots of reports show the deal is pretty much deals, only thing that is keeping them from signing are minor details and a venue

ESPN reported a couple weeks ago that it was practically a done deal. Jerry Jones has offered a 25 million dollar incentive to host the fight at Cowboys stadium.

Using the new Cowboys stadium is still up in the air, since Richard Schaeffer (CEO of Golden Boy Productions) cancelled their tour of the facility without any reasoning last week.

Maybe that is what I heard. It had something to do with the short notice and an open-air stadium which seemed silly since they have a retractable roof.

Yeah, the GBP CEO said they didn't have time to do an outdoor match, he had no fucking clue it was a retractable roof lol. That was also before Jones laid 25 million dollars on the table.
