    Incidentally, I found Ebola and Marburg (filoviruses) pretty boring outside of the fact that hemorrhagic fevers are fucking insane.

    yeah I read it as a requirement to get into English honors in high school, along with books called Hiroshima and Fast Food Nation, which were both good reads. Oh man I remember the guy writing Hiroshima said he helped some lady out of a river after the bomb and he grabbed both her arms to lift her up and her skin came off like gloves.

    Anyways, I was really into the Hot Zone when I read that book. I don't know why it interested me so much. Hell yeah bleeding out from every orifice of your body.

    Absolutely terrifying. Bleeding at injection sites is ridiculous.
    The way it initially presents doesn't help at all, too.
