Seems like a very elaborate mal-ware ploy if true. Also why limit to only current demonoid users if so? The torrentfreak site updated and said it might be the web ads that were malware and the site itself may not be intentional mal-ware.

yeah but really there is no need for demonoid there are other public trackers that people can use TPB, kat.ph etc that are decent and most people have at least one private tracker

Demondoid was the only half decent tracker i had for books.

edit: I still don't trust it, but i just had my password reset, and will use it. They clearly already have the old database, so i guess if they're going to do anything, not using it won't change that.

there is Bibliotik and i had heard what.cd is good for audio books/comics. also My Anonamouse and baconbits I've heard has decent selection. for usenet peeps there is the lazylibrarian although I haven't taken the time to install it on my NAS I've heard it's similar to headphones. If you guys are going to use demonoid just make sure you have a unique password for it until everyone figures everything out.. obviously a unique password is always the best practice for everything but I would stress the importance for this instance more than normal
