I'm terrible about keeping up with TV shows, the last real show I kept up with at all was Nip/Tuck but I'm like 3-4 seasons back on that now. The only thing I make a point to watch regularly when it's in season is Metalocalypse.

Dexter is on Showtime? I'm upgrading to HD Cable next month and can maybe swing a couple of movie channels, I haven't had any since having HBO about 10 years ago.

yes it's on showtime. i don't know about where you're at, but my HD cable package includes an 'on-demand' showtime channel, where you can watch the full season at once. but you might want to wait for it to cycle through to the first season and start there.
