    The Force Unleashed 2

    http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed2/

Was just announced last night at VGS. Coming out in 2010, link goes to site with trailer that looks awesome. I loved the first game, can't wait for this one and to see how they explain the ending to justify a sequel.

I couldn't enjoy the first due to lock-ups and stiff/stilted controls (and sporadic frame-rate that always felt like it was running at 15fps, on PS3 version at any rate).

Hopefully they'll have refined both in this new release. If the combat is fluid this time around, it'll probably win me over pretty easily since lightsabers = sex.

They did a re-release of Force Unleashed 1 recently no? Sith edition or something like that. By any chance did it clean up on my above qualms? May grab it for cheap some day if so.

That's weird, I didn't have any of the problems you say you had, I found the combat to be very enjoyable. Although, I did have this for 360, so maybe that's why, I don't know. I'll probably get the new one for PS3 though.

yea from what I played the 360 version had very few problems, maybe a few glitches here & there in terms of collision detection.

My only gripe was that entering/exiting the lightsaber/power upgrade menus would result in a load time that was wayyyy too long for something you were supposed to access so frequently, but this was before you could install to the HD so maybe that fixes things. That, and the game was too short.

I guess I'm looking forward to the sequel, especially because I have a major man-crush on the guy who plays Starkiller

first game was great, had none of the issues mentioned on the 360 version although i do agree with the load times on the upgrades menus

and i certainly didnt find the game to long, i thought it was pretty average, especailly if you were going for upgrades/100% completion. i guess you could blaze thru if you didnt care much about mucking around.

force 2 should be great 100% rent might even buy

Ive been meaning to pick that up, it released in october Im unsure if they fixed the PS3 problems tho, at the time, I played it on the 360, but if I get the sith edition it'll be on PS3, its retailing for 40 bucks already, dunno when and if it'll go on sale.

the ps3 version wasnt nearly as good of a port as the 360 version
the PC version was terribly done, absolutely terrible. However one of the scene guys reworked the ISO, removing all the extra language tracks (they released a movie for EACH language, an HD movie). Recompressed the movies and adjusted the system settings for how it displays the graphics and lo and behold a 16 gig 2 disk game became a 4.5 gig masterpiece. Loaded faster, played smoother, and the videos still looked amazing. So if your going to warez it, look for the small release.

Well, they said that the sequel follows the "cannon" ending of the game, which is where Starkiller sacrifices himself to save the rebels by fighting the Emperor. He was thrown out into space after he was "killed" so my guess is that somehow he got saved. From the trailer he appears to be fighting in some sort of arena, so I wonder if he's some sort of slave or something, hard to tell, but I can't wait to find out!

they could continue it both ways imo, might be hard to explain the mask from the ending for the darkside but he could have gotten surgery to fix any scarring or something.

The dark side ending is continued through the Tattooine DLC & Hoth level (Ultimate Sith). The Hoth level ends in a way like it's leading up to another, maybe final, DLC to complete the IV/V/VI movies.

I have to agree with this. The PS3 version was clunky as all hell. I lost count of how many times I fell outside the level.

Ok, glad to hear I wasn't insane then regarding disliking the PS3 copy I rented.

Guess I'll hijack my brother's 360 (actually, he may just end up buying it, saving me some money >.> ) for the sequel if shit is the same.

unleashed was ok, I enjoyed the demo more than the actual game.

When are they gonna put out a battlefront for the next gens? From what I understand, they were the best selling star wars games ever on the last gens.
