the application is a lie!
well, at last mine is (specs, enthusiasm)
see ya guys on ebay ..lol
The last question about Fansites... The bottom checkbox read:
"No, or none of the above". No, I don't run a fansite. I don't see how most of you didn't even read it properly lol.
That was clearly not there before... lol
No option there, and I just signed up also. ;p
Had to make myself an SE account, and linked my old FFXI account to it also in hopes of prioritization for existing players. ;/
(shame it took me 15 guesses to get the password right to my POL account. Silly SE never implemented a 5-tries-or-bust system for the password check via the Link process. You could brute-force people's accounts via that thing -.- )
Just woke up to this - done the app. Think it's interesting as it gives some indication of the range of PC specs they're looking towards in the list of options (and my new baby is in there woo hoo). Had the no fansite option on my app - maybe they've updated one of the region's forms and not the others (mine's EU).
Quick question for blokey - if you've got an NA SE ID and POL - but are EU based - do you have to go through NA registration page or have they finally developed a clue that people in Europe imported 11 yet?
Re: Cesaria
I'm EU and play on NA version and I had to go via NA Beta apps because the EU one just came up as an error (well, it makes sense since the Square-Enix accounts and security tokens are region coded as well). But yeah, it's retarded that SE's idiocy from 6 years ago still carries over.
Re: Aku/Daed
Not bad, still playing FFXI almost as much as before. How's you?![]()
Im brazillian and for some reason logging in NA section got me the same region error, i had to log as EU.
Find it strange that SE doesnt have at least an "other" countries list.
At least when i had to choose a country Brazil was there, for my POL ffxi account there was only US/JP when i registered, i even had to put a fake US address lol
Just signed up on the EU site, sounds like there are a few minor differences, Wondering how this is going to work for me as i'm in the process of emigrating to Canada so need to see if they can convert my EU profiles to NA. Good luck to everyone applying, they will automate the way that testers are chosen they will first choose what they want to test, then select testers that fit into that section. eg. mass PvE they will want a range of PC specs, for quest it won't matter how fast the PC is so they will choose a what ever they feel like.
Read: I still filled out an app and even tho I am jumping on the "SE sucks bandwaggen" if/when I can play this beast of a MMO I will play it. Also when the game comes out for real I plan to buy/pay the monthly fee
SE STILL SUCKS LALALALA I CAN"T HEAR YOU! LALALALA
Edit: answer to this? did you play the early days of FFXI? updates came out fast, shit was changed around. play style for the most part changed every update. FF14 will be treated like this till they plan their next MMO(this is if 14 turns as many heads as 11 did when it 1st came out)
ya dont think that was there. ninja edit on apps? lol
Applied, I told the truth on everything including my excitement level of the FF series being 100. Throwing some fanboy weight around I wish I could have input that I own every single Square and Square Enix game ever released in the US starting with King's Knight on NES. Yup, I'm a gigantic fanboy. Here's hoping that having played XI since PC release will help too.
that is what I wonder, they can see how long your account has been around as it is linked to your FFXI, shit its linked to 3 of my accounts on the token.
2 being around 3 years old and my 1st over 6. Talked with SE few months back to fix my CC, they input my old one... found out i started in 2003 lol
I'm hoping they're not dumb enough to go "oo, look, all these people gave 95-100 scores for their FF enthusiasm - now THESE are the kinds of people we want playing our beta!", but you never know with SE.
I was brutally honest, including my intended time playing each week. I hope if they do look at applications (doubtful), I'll get filed into the casual category (casuals always one upped me in WoW betas anyway, grumble grumble).
Even if I don't get in, it brings us that much closer to the final release and that's always a good thing![]()
Since they'd totally want people who has little to no interest in Final Fantasy playing a...Final Fantasy title.
They wouldn't name it Final Fantasy XIV if they weren't trying to appeal to FF fans, if they wanted to appeal to others mostly they'd have continue with their Front Mission and Fantasy Earth trend.
