I do hope they send the beta keys out by post. It's unlikely due to the extra effort involved but it would be the best way of filtering out kids like Seph.

I registered in this forums before you, if i wanted to call myself "sephiroth" i could since it was not taken but how original and childish is that? my name is seph for a reason unrelated to the character but a tool like you properly won't understand

I'm not playing the beta to enjoy the game but to get familiar with controls/areas/battle system/build a character/try jobs/etc

So when the real game get launched i will have ahead start before others to rush the game and reach highest levels before others and start my own LS or join the Elites of the servers, i did a mistake during FF11 by playing slowly and enjoying the game areas etc so by the time i reached highest level all linkshells were pretty much full and everytime i apply to one no one wants me saying lol DRK and i have no friends to get me into HNM ls

I won't repeat the same mistake again.

I honestly couldn't care less. I use Sephiroth because it's Sephiroth and I don't deny that. Having used it on the internet since 1998 I like to keep consistancy with my internet names. If you had taken it, chances are I would have used my FFXI character name, which would have been a mistake considering I no longer play the game and won't be using the name in XIV. Nor will I be using anything with Sephiroth in it as I can't stand random letters/numbers attached to names.

Originality is over-rated. With the obvious exception of Final Fantasy forums I find certain words that are found in the English dictionary (silent is a good example) to be used far more frequently than FFVII character names. It's unfortunate that it's usually retarded kids like yourself who use the latter however, but retards come in all forms.

Well good luck is all I can say. I'm one of those who doesn't care whether they get in because playing early, repeatedly playing in the same starting zones and frequently starting from scratch ruins the beginning of the game experience the majority of players get when a MMORPG gets released. I fear missing out on that if I play an active role in beta testing. But as a programmer I also think testing a large commercial product could be fun.

I'm off to bed, I can't be arsed to get dragged into this bitchfest any further. To those on the forum just watching and not posting, we're all going to look like retards for giving you time.
