It would suck if they auto deny everyone on the same IP address. Pretty sure that would mean I'm denied as my boyfriend and I posted from the same router, unless it doesn't go off the router IP. Probably alot of other couples out there too. But I guess it can't be helped, because of crap like that.

They will most likely not care about multiple subscriptions on multiple IPs as they expect people to live together.

I can see them applying a filter that will screen when a plurality of applications come through on the same IP that follow a pattern.

Ive never participated in a beta but when the official release comes of can you continue with the progress you've made so far or are you basically reset back to 0?

SE mentioned that all your progress will not continue into the official release. No source sorry, but I thought I saw it when I was reading through sign ups for open beta.

Was reset to nothing with FFXI, even without having read it anywhere I would assume they'd do the same for FFXIV.

Ya that is assumed with any MMORPG beta that your character gets wiped before the game is released to the public.

Well, to fuel the speculation a little bit, the owner of XIVCore posted a similar mysterious message in their forums 2 days ago saying that he "knows some very exciting information he hopes he can share in the near future".

Now what could that be?!

Someone already told you the correct answer (no), but the reason why is they are accepting SE IDs for beta, not IP addresses.
