While trying to avoid the whole FF-A vs FF-B argument, I just had to say that FFX-2 was really fun once you got past the whole obnoxious Charlie's Angels girlie bullshit. Battles were always very fluid and fun to fight.

With that save you already have quistis zell and sophie at around level 8/9, have ifirit and siren. I think what I'm looking for is a early save with some weapons, but if not then I'll stick with this one.

One you have sounds decent if you already have Zell and Siren and are only level 8. Gil is useless and far to easy to get so you won't have to worry about that being a prority.

Working on a file with all cards and ga magic but it may be a few days since I'm suffering from a horrid tooth ache and can't focus for more then five minutes without throwing a fit.

You know you might aswell just start the game over yourself. Just pass the tests right away when the game allows you to and money issues are going to be non-existent.

As far as weapons go, honestly they're so easy to get it's almost laughable and you can do it yourself. Either play the card game or get the required drops off mobs, the only ones if you take the farming route you'd have to go out of your way to get are the final weapon upgrades.

Downloaded and beat again already. I love FF8, I don't see how you can't love it.

Had no idea VS was on PSN, one of the few games I owned forever but don't think I ever beat. Copy I had would always freeze somewhere in the middle.

I havent touched my PSP in years, is it possible to somehow transfer this game from my ps3 onto my psp and take it to work with me? Then when I'm back home, transfer the save back onto PS3 and continue playing it from wherever I got to at work?

as far as i know you cant transfer the actual game from the ps3, but if your psp is linked to your account (which is fairly simple) you can download the game.Although, game saves are transferable by connecting the psp to the ps3 with the usb cable i believe.
One way to go about downloading it is downloading the media go software and just log in with your account then download it.

So now that everyone is playing again, and beating it again, what party setups are you using?

I went with Squall, Zell, and Quistis this time around... debating if I want to swap in irvine for zell and rinoa for quistis for next run.

Not really much else to do lately but kill time, and this is one of the best ways lol.

No, you can transfer the game from PS3 to PSP, as long as it has been paired with the PS3.

yup this.

sign in with the PSN account you used to buy the game, then connect your PSP to the PS3 and at the FFVIII game press triangle and copy. It automatically knows that this means copy to PSP.

You'll need a good USB connection to transfer it though, or else it will get transfer errors.
protip: disconnect any other USB devices while transferring so that power supplied to the transfer is constant. Or get a good USB cable.

as for transferring saves, you can always transfer save data from the PS3 to PSP and back, but if im not wrong you might have to first create a dummy save in the PSP so that the game will create a virtual saved folder - only then can you copy saves over.

if no one has mentioned, its connect PSP by USB, under the games section - memory card utility and you can copy and move stuff around from there...
thats what i did with FF7.. have yet to complete it so i havent started on 8

it is the same cord used to hook up the controller and the ps3 together, a standard usb to usb mini i believe

selphie is a beast - rapture and the end are the best moves in the game besides lionheart (the end worked against griever onfinal battle with over 100k hp) and rapture 1shotted a lv100 ruby dragon at lv25.

irv can do like 40 to 60k dmg per lb with pulse shot too. i think zell is useless

I just use how I feel like at the time because honestly this game was never so hard for me to stick with certain people for certain roles and Squall is gonna outdamage everyone hit for hit on random battles anyway.

isnt it a bitch to farm the ammo tho? i hate selphie so its either quist or rin and i love the blackhole lb on random encounters.

no big deal though, I tried playing with Irv a little bit in that since hes like 13 and Zell 14... I cant decide who I like more. Reading other forums it looks like if you get lucky, zell's LB can do stupid damage... but Irv's is so easy and consistent. gdi
