Nothing to see here, just another silly GM

I was in dynamis today, and it turns out that one of our new guys doesn't have access to CoP zones because they aren't through 3-5... so when they asked for help, the following conversation occured, in paraphrase because I didn't screenshot what was just a normal dynamis conversation:

<New Guy> Hey, I need help with Dynamis access.
<Hosom> Don't look here, I don't buy expansions for betas, so I don't have CoP.
<New Guy> then how exactly are you in Dynamis - Valkurm?
<Hosom> Oh, I get a glass and then I pos hack into dynamis.
<New Guy> Yea right.
<Hosom> yeah, j/k.

A little time goes by, and Rdm feet drop, an item that I won with minimum bid. Just a usual run.

Edit: my apologies for the plugins in the screenshot, recently installed the new version of windower and never adjusted my bind for screenshots.

About a minute after they drop, I'm zoning. Immediately I'm curious as to which tool blm d2'd me. Then I see Mordion Gaol, and the following occurs:

I don't generally bitch about GMs, because they're doing their job, and I know a bit what it's like to be bitched at for doing your job... but the fact that I received an official warning for this was annoying, while losing the drop didn't bother me so much.

So while I was a little annoyed, this is a prime example of GM lulz.

This has to be a glitch.... after doing BCNM, I lotted my drops and two slime oils (not a big deal!) got kicked while everything else went into my bag, I was 57/60 after all dropped to my bag. Soooo glad it wasn't NI. But it was weird, let me have one slime oil and the rest of them dropped to the ground.

Had a hard time understanding this.

You lotted your items, the leader kicked you from the party, you got everything but the 2 slime oils in your inventory even though you had 57/60? And then suddenly, you got 1 slime oil while everything else was lost?

Was that during Dynamis or before it? I assume during based on your introduction to the picture, and if so, it's possible GMs check the chat in these zones. It makes sense considering the Salvage ban stuff.

SE probably just searches for specific phrases, though based on the context of the conversation you think the GM would use a bit more discretion with pulling someone from a zone while being unable to send them back. So probably no one reported you, though you could make outrageous claims and kick someone you didn't like!

While not the brightest joke, but really a simple read through of the previous conversation, like claiming not to have Dynamis access while in Dynamis, could be resolved by checking completed quests. That and I thought any POS hacking is immediately identifiable, which iirc a ton of people got (temp) banned from lagging and client side plooping the characters in staggered movements.

For the OP, I can understand situations being ambiguous to not want to take action, like lotting against someone and losing though claiming they had intended to pass. The item wasn't lost so at least someone gained something, even if they didn't want it. But where you have a pretty common drop that has the biggest inconvenience of taking 72 hours to get another hit the ground, you would think they would be helpful.

A lot of the GM's constraints are probably based on SE's paranoia, like allowing a GM to POS hack a player for their benefit, but it's just rather disappointing that they are still attempting to cock block anything caused by the myriad of glitches in the game.

I've seen this glitch happen before, and it's happened a few times in previous LSes.

Places I've seen it happen where the inventory states you're full but you're not are:
- Sky
- Limbus
- Sea (losing a Virtue or Deed because of it IS NOT fun at all)
- Salvage (luckily not on a 35 item, but on cells)

I have not seen it happen in Einherjar, yet. *crosses fingers*

The few times it occurred in Sky and Limbus is losing pop items mainly, especially after hours of work trying to get them. I have had my Satchel glitch a few times where I couldn't find one of my AF2 pieces that I keep on me like my Duelist's Chapeau+1 or my Etoile Tiara. Only fix was zoning to another area or back into my Mog House to fix it.

It is an annoying glitch and I hate to say it but it does happen.
