    Broken Security Token help-

    I wasn't sure where to put this so i'll make this short.

    I managed to get the sec. token destroyed so I can't access ffxi or the SE website secure area for the number ^^;

    I just want to re-get or deactivate it since it served its purpose so many months ago.

    I had this happen. called them up and they were able to deactivate the token so I could log in without it. However they said that they would have to submit a ticket to have it removed from my account. This was over two months ago and it still hasn't been removed so I cannot activate my new token.

    I had this happen about a month ago. There is no way to de-activate a security token if it isn't working because you have to enter the random code it displays to access the site that let's you de-activate it. Mine broke down on the weekend, so I had to wait until monday to call the support center and have them unlink it. I hope you have something else to do over the weekend since you're not going to be able to play FFXI.

    I cracked the screen on my token so I was unable to read it at all. I had to call Customer Support to have them deactivate the token. They then proceeded to tell me I had to send my token back to them and then they would deactivate it and the process could take a few weeks before I could even try ordering a new one. This really is a terrible process to have one replaced, consdering that once the token is disable I was under the impression you couldn't re enable it. So why do I have to send this back to them?

    So that they can take it, attempt to fix it, and them send either it back, or a new one.

    Same thing I had to do when my Xbox's disc drive failed, Razer mouse's laser stopped functioning properly, or when my own token broke. As long as you have access to your account, and the Mog Satchel, it's still serving its [primary] purpose.
