Going completely against my own train of thoughts. It may have a sex, but it doesn't have a gender and most of the times we associate humans by their gender, not their sex. Conscious thought is what separates humans and animals from plants, and abstract thinking is what separates us from other animals. So far the only thing this baby has taught us is that (if it's true) laughter is an instinctual behavior and not learned.

Yea I started rethinking some of my comments. I am really very curious as to know what the religious folks would think of him. I mean he is incapable of committing sin but the same goes for he is unable to accept God and Jesus and all that. Hes Hell bait to them I am sure. The tool of the devil!

Another interesting thing to me is that the wiki article said that mainly, the babies with this disease/abnormality were missing their frontal lobe. I assume most of the brain is inactive (besides the brain stem obviously), but there must be some possibility of being able to have some senses. That or, the complete lack of senses might be an exaggeration on the media's part.

Must I say it again? Stem cells are revolutionary currently. Despite it being a very expensive procedure (what isn't nowadays), it could offer us some insight as to just the capabilities that they hold. Yes, we are suggesting a brain transplant. It could go a long way in determining more functions of specific areas of the brain as well. Not to mention it could help use separate between learned and instinctual behavior, which again can have very interesting results.

We've know for a bit now that the only thing you technically need is the brain stem as this controls all necessary functions (breathing, heart etc). As far as I know, the major problem with this disease is being able to provide nutrition and that the brain stem might not be well developed enough to control aforementioned functions.
