Apart from the 4 pages of whining over what this child is or isn't, the story truely is an interesting one. This child is without the upper layers of brain function and therefor has only the basic motor skills which we attribute to unconcious thinking, i do however find it hard to believe that the child would live long without some form of support for & from its family.

It is a real shame to see children being born with these kinds of handicaps and its only in recent years that we feel the need to care endlessly for them, im really not trying to seem heartless by saying this, but this child really should be euthanised, it is providing no real benefit to a society it "lives" in and for all we know the child could be horribly distressed or in severe discomfort from the condition it is in.

If it helps you, don't think so much about what any one individual is, think about the collective average. Any average thing of the same species as that baby can think, feel, breathe, etc. (not that those are, scientifically, the definition of a human). Flukes happen sometimes, it doesn't create a whole new species. Unless it breeds. So let's hope that baby doesn't get lucky later in life and produce an offspring he didn't know he made.
