Dreamcast emulator (Vista)

Anyone have a link to a version that may work on vista? I had one on my old HDD (XP) and just ported the folders over and it wouldn't work anymore .

chankast is pretty old, makaron is a bit hard to use, demul and nulldc work best

Just downloaded nullDC. The audio is horrible for me for some reason. In quality and speed (the sound is laggy). Also, neither of my controllers will respond when setting up buttons, only my keyboard.

Not rly sure what the prob is atm


Edit: Just downloaded Makron. Got the controller to work, but the game won't load Q.Q

as for NullDC depending on what version you get you can use Xpadder if you cant get the control recognized.

Xpadder not working for me. I create a profile and when I go to load a profile it won't even read what I just wrote, and "All files" isn't an option only .Xpadderprofile so I can't load it at all.

I enjoyed Evolution: World of Sacred Device and the sequel. Don't compare it to the GC remake which took out a majority of the first game and made everything way too easy especially the final boss of the first game... the original games are pretty damn hard but fun.

PCSX2 (mostly) works great for PS2 emulation, I don't really know if it can also emulate PS1 games. I think it was the follow up to a PS emulation project (PCSX? PSX? not sure), so something is probably out there.

Only caveat on PCSX2 is that it's heavily dependent on the beastliness of your PC as to whether or not it really works.

ok, finally gut nulldc going. Does anyone have a decent sound plugin though? Of the four that came w/ my nulldc, 2 are decent, but neither are perfect. One plays well but the music cuts in and out leaving sound effects only at some points. The other plays all, but w/ a tiny crackling noise continuous in the background.'

The other 2 are just absolute shit, sounds like someone taking a dump.


Edit: Also, this does not play well at all with fraps. any other recording progam i could use? I am ablet o 1920x1080 ffxi and record on fraps w/ no lag at all. I can't record on this at 800x600 w/o slowing the entire game down.

Game was so legit. Skies was also a lot of fun, but Grandia's battle system just made me so happy, especially the cancel attack (critical?). HOW DID THEY SPEAK WITHOUT MOUTHS IN GRANDIA II?!?!?
