I always thought FF6 was better then FF7. Then again I also think Chrono Cross is better then trigger and a lot of people argue with me on that. FF6 remake prz.
I'd settle for a xenogears port.
People saying X was their first experience with the franchise makes me feel oooooooooooooooooold. I think there's a generation gap between the people who were blown away by FFVII when it came out and the people who still sit around, talking about Final Fantasy games on the internet.
Totally off topic here but is it just me or does anyone think that FFXs Blitzball was probably the best mini-game added in any FF series to date?
I'd love to see this to. Kefka's laugh in HQ would be epic.
FF7 wasn't the worst in the franchise no doubt. FF2 holds that honor since that's always the 2nd worst on my list. (I put 11 as the worst, but that's mostly because I think SE pulled a stupid move adding it as a mainstream series instead of a spinoff like Tactics, but that's another story.)
However, I am pretty fed up with how SE seems to be milking the series as much as they can. First a pretty bad movie excluding the animation which was awesome, then a cellphone game (or was it the other way around w/ the movie/cellphone game?), then a spinoff for Vincent, then another spinoff on the PSP about Zack before the events of FF7, and of course the cameos of Cloud/Seph in the KH franchise. Honestly the only person that got more cameos than Cloud or Seph was Gilgamesh.
Either way doubt I'll buy the remake since I never beat the original. (Got to disc 2, lost interest at the end of the giant materia hunt segment) Only reason I want to see an FF9 remake is because I miss the game and my first disc isn't in good condition so I doubt I can replay it.
I sucked at blitzball, my favorite minigame in the FF series was probably the escape from Midgard game where you control Cloud on a motorcycle beating the crap out of enemies with your buster sword. Chocobo Hot and Cold in FF9 was fun to, but got annoying after awhile.Totally off topic here but is it just me or does anyone think that FFXs Blitzball was probably the best mini-game added in any FF series to date?
Now that I think of it, the Triple Triad card game in FF8 was absolutely amazing as well. Fuck yeah Holy Wars.
Replaying FFX and Chocobo Training is definitely the worst mini-game ever conceived. Honestly imo, almost all the mini-games are ridiculously tedious for no reason except for Blitzball but you have to do them if you want everyone's best weapon.
Definitely the motorcycle game in FF7... no contest. That shit was pro.
I hated nothing more than Blitzball.
