I handle any nigga on Goldeneye with my boy Ourumov. Good times fighting with proximity mines or machine guns.

And I'm here to say I'm a FFVII fanboy, and I love shit to death, and fuck anyone that's blindly hating on FFVII. 7 definitely pushed the limits graphically of it's time in '97, pretty deep story, and a nice, but tedious, magic system to play with. Credit needs to be given where it's due. And I've always thought of SE to be foolish to have not re-released this game with updated graphics; they would outsell many products and titles very easily (including top sellers), while staying very true to the FFVII brand.

It's really a polished game, and the only people that should be hating on this game are those who are totally new to this it and can't get past the lego-blocky look. Even then, not a valid reason either. And let me go out of my way to say Final Fantasy VI is my fav, not VII.

I came late to RPGs - I'll freely admit that... ok so most of my youth was wasted playing Lemmings and Civilization - but 10 and 7 were the ones that got me hooked. Only got FFX as it was a 2 discs for some price jobbie and I needed another to make up the numbers.

I hate the spin-offs for one reason - Tifa seems to be suffering from Lara Croft syndrome where her boobs get bigger with every game/DVD that's produced - she's going to topple over soon poor gal.

Midgar sections were easily the most memorable to me. Everything about it is good, the atmosphere, the story and locations, not to mention the huge nostalgia trip you just induced describing the Shinra part. Good times. I'll always love FFVII, not the best RPG or best FF game, but it's good and if you're like me and haven't played it in 10 years or so a remake doesn't sound that bad. If something FFVII related came out every year or 2, I would agree they were milking it, but they aren't. FF as a series progresses a lot (for better or worse), so it isn't stale like some series which don't try and change (or can't because of genre).

And Tifa's boobs were huge in the original, I'm pretty sure they got smaller in AC. Or maybe her head got bigger...

If by best, you mean the worst then sure it was the best. Best mini game is Triple Triad. Blitzball was icredibly boring, and I would always win 15+ - 1 or 2. The most goals I ever scored was 22. After that I just gave up on it because it was stupid to play otherwise.

Also Legend of Dragoon was one of the worst RPG's I remember playing on PS1.

That's the problem, you just assume it's them 'milking' FFVII when you haven't even played them to realize it's them actually doing more plot filling than milking. I could say they were trying to milk the long idle Romancing SaGa series with their PS2 remake of Romancing SaGa, but in reality it's just them trying to revive it.

The spin offs/prequels to FFVII does more plot hole filling than milking for money when you get down to it. None of the spinoffs/prequels sold as much/out sold FFVII, but those who played it either loved them or hated them, storywise you can't help but love them because you not only get introduced to the Turks in full glory, you also get to actually go through Zack's life and see what a skank Aerith truly was.

I actually have the blitzball theme on my phone (512mb size only) and it's one of the many MP3s I put on it, I enjoy it, brings back good memories.

For me, the midgard part was the part of the game I hated the most. Game starting with black guy cursing kinda pissed me off, and the whole place was just, dirty, ugly, and bleh. I enjoyed the game a lot more when I finally made it out of that hell hole.

Blitzball was kick ass. I can't count how many hours I put into that. I recall turning on the game just to play blitzball as if it was just a game on its own.

I loved VII, but I honestly want it to be KH3 more than FFVII at the moment.

meh, my first FF was FFX, then XI.... I tried the NES and SNES ones, but never got past like 10 minutes of playing.

My Ex GF gave me her copy of VIII like in 2003 but i knew that was garbage from what i heard so i tossed that in the trash.

Never played VII or IX either...

KH3 most requested game? Probably for people that only hear what they want to hear. That is most definitely FFVII.

    I just got giddy. :O

FF11 is the only Final Fantasy game that ever get close to being good and could use a re-release or "remix" update even just for visuals and sound. Makes the whole "FF6 vs FF7 vs FFx" argument pointless since they all suffer from the same shitty game design that's been uninteresting for more than two decades.

I'd pray for it to be Chrono or even another Vagrant Story <3

There are some people out there (myself included) that somewhat prefer single-player games. Mind blown, I know.

Okay, a single player FFXI where you control up to 18 characters at once. Now the remake is justified!

I doubt it's a new Chrono game or Vagrant Story. He had little next to nothing to do with Chrono Trigger and wasn't involved with the making of Vagrant Story.

I almost hope it's FFVII, just so it gets remade already so they can let it go and move on to new and/or other classic franchises.
