All that lead up and yet we saw next to nothing explained. I was hoping Mashima would have improved on the whole "leaving huge plot hints and then not explaining them until 4 years later."

This is pretty much the first time in FT that someone was killed off like that. Even if it's a minor character.

I just think Minerva is trying to pull a Darth Sidious with Sting.

Letting Natsu fuck up the GM wouldn't have accomplished shit, since he's borderline incorruptible.

It also really pisses me off how bipolar Mashima makes some characters.

So far, the most egregious examples of this are Gajeel, Sting, and Rogue.

Gajeel was really brutal in Phantom Lord, now he's a nice guy. No real justification at all for his personality shift.

They're showing Sting and Rogue in a really positive light now, after they laughed at Lucy nearly getting killed and implying a bunch of really evil stuff.

It's extremely misleading.
