Part of reading Fairy Tail for me is just being prepared to not take anything too seriously. The plot really isn't that great and it certainly isn't original. There are never usually any actual consequences to anything and people don't die. I just sort of breeze through it and enjoy it for what it is.

Shonen tropes are horrible enough, but Jesus Christ, that plotkai didn't even bother trying to actually PLOTKAI. Straight up just had her no-sell through near-endless torture.

"Weapon Lady" ... Erza? lol. Erza isn't unstoppable, just broken as fuck. She's strong because she never stopped training from childhood as a slave. She's Ike in woman form -- protecting her friends is her greatest source of strength. Her resolve is as shounen as it's going to get, really.

It seems to be a Wendy-centric story. It seems like it's back when she first joined the guild. The first chapter drew me in enough to keep my reading. That doesn't say much though.

The definition of unstoppable is someone or something who has never been or cannot be stopped.

Erza has never lost a fight in FT.

Conversely everyone else has lost at least once.

At least we now know one of the reasons the Dragons were inside the Dragon Slayers. Would really like to know the other reason though. As well as what Acnologia's real reason for showing up again was if not to destroy END.

Well, it's literally the first time we are introduced to any of this info. Hell, we didn't even know he talked recently lol. But both Igneel's and Acnologia's statement confirm that it's possible for dragon slayers to evolve into dragons like them. The difference in opinions though as it seems that Acnologia can probably manipulate them and Igneel seems to want to avoid them changing period.

I want to see THIS stuff expanded on!

We've known Acnologia was once a human Dragon Slayer for a long time. I think since the Grand Magic Games? Maybe earlier.

Yep.

Really hoping Gildarts pops in soon because even if Natsu goes berserk I don't see them having a chance unless Acnologia just says "fuck this I'm out."
