Yuriy will likely die along with his wife when Makarov is born through Mavis' feelings about life and the miracle of birth... or something. Not sure why Makarov wouldn't also die in that situation, though.

Honestly this story is so far from what I would have possibly expected from this series. There is just no way I can see Zeref as an antagonist at all now.

That had to be a little weird for Zeref though, kissing her in that form.... Also, wonder why nobody else in the guild died... and Zeref probably locked her in the crystal to preserve her body so he could bring her back like he did Natsu

I imagine the curse was just starting to become active -- if she wasn't holding Rita's hand, it might not have only affected her (and then activated and wiped out the whole guild). Somehow the crystal ended up back at Fairy Tail as well..

Zeref want's to use Mavis' body to kill Acnologia. Acnologia wants to kill END (Natsu) for whatever reasons, possibly to piss off Zeref. Fairy Tail peeps got their master and guild back and the only thing left for them to do is simply defend the oncoming onslaught. Did I miss anything?

Fairy Tail looks to be heading towards the end, unless they bring in something new like the god who cursed Zeref or the abyss of magic or something.

Good chapter, although I kind of wish we'd get an explanation for how Mavis is currently existing if she's technically dead.

Also based on the power scale of this arc, I have high hopes of a Gildarts appearance.

But whose magic? Shouldn't be hers because she's "dead" but it probably is anyway. Would just be nice to have it stated plainly. It also seems like he's intentionally dancing around the details of Yuriy's death which is a little curious to me.

Edit: by "he" I meant Mashima. Mavis may not be apprised of the circumstances surrounding Yuriy's death.

Maybe "A wizard did it" would have made it more obvious.

The point I was trying to make without saying it is that in a series with magic mcfuckin' everywhere, there's bound to be an explanation eventually but since that explanation isn't bound by anything except a man's imagination... its not even worth considering.


EDIT: Though I say that... the thought that its her own magic seems like its probably right since she's actually not dead and she was all about illusions.
The whole thing with only FT members being able to see her would also make me think its probably the case as well.

She seems to be stuck in suspended animation between life and death. Since she's still immortal, but her heart stopped. So her body doesn't work but her magic still does?
