So I've started watching some Fairy Tail, and I'm not disliking it, but I'm also not getting drawn into it so much. I know sometimes it takes a bit to really hit the stride of a story, any idea where Fairy Tails would be? Of the old school big 3, I love OP, Naruto was pretty good and Bleach is just sad. I remember a while back hearing Fairy Tail had ties to OP but I'm not seeing the depth of the world right now, will that come along later?

The ties people spoke of were a lot of mumblings of FT stealing from OP lol. Can't say if the claims are legit at all

People also said the author of FT was an assistant to Oda but that wasn't true last I checked. I'm a big fan of OP too and thought FT would be a fun series to get into, but storytelling wise it just doesn't compare at all. Shit is hella-predictable. I mean, it's still kind of an enjoyable, mind-less read but it doesn't compare to OP in the slightest.

Yeah, I like Fairy Tail, but it's definitely not the greatest story or anything lol. Mostly just a fun Shounen to follow....with all my others.

Characters are probably what keeps me invested in it. I like basically all of them for different reasons which isn't very common in a series like this (besides One Piece).

Dunno how people can think Fairy Tail stole from One Piece when it's very clearly stealing from Rave Master (because it's the same author).

I am a bit confused by this, Gajeel poofed into magic particles/black hole thing and is now in some Limbo where Zera is? Wonder if Mavis Illusion world was smashed into the new world and now she has the most fearsome of magic? Being able to create anything/anyone how she sees fit ?

Doesn't make sense that Gajeel is alive if everybody just got moved around. He did basically disintegrate. Either way looks like Erza's up next to fight Eileen

He didn't disintegrate, he was sucked into the "gates of hell." Wherever he ended up was obviously close enough to Ishgard for him to get moved.
