Random Quick Question
Tech needs a 'Random Question Thread' I think lol, I didn't quite want to make a new thread for this but I was curious:
For Windows Pro, if my computer is on, but locked, do scheduled tasks like AV scans still run? I work 8:15-1:15 and the admin here had AVG set to scan right in the middle of my workday, I'd like to change it to later in the afternoon after I'm out, but I wasn't sure if it'd actually run if I left the PC running and locked it.
~Thanks

They should. Some AV packages can scan without a user logged in as well. Symantec has an option to allow it, offhand.

It'll work if the computer is on, but not if it's in sleep in hibernate. As long as it's just locked, it'll still run background tasks.
